What's one figure that you bought for a high price, then later had regrets because of some reason such as; - it became easily attainable - you found it cheaper elsewhere - you didn't really have the money for it - you pre-ordered from somewhere, then it became readily available at retail cost
Etc..
Usually in my cases of regret I find it to simply be due to being impatient and wanting to have it "NOW". I realize how much money I could have saved avoiding places like ebay, FB, pre-orders, etc.. However I continue to do it anyways and I'm not entirely sure why... However I did have to play catch up given I started collecting in early 2013
I'll start..
I spent $60 on an Elite Kevin Nash MOC through ebay, then soon after, I found another at toyzam during the holidays for only $15.
Another instance for me would be $90 on a DM Austin recently when nearly every one on eBay went for only $40-$50 just a month ago.. My excuse, I needed it to complete my DM collection, however I spent what I did because I'm impatient.
What's your regret or 2nd thoughts after it's already too late?

Wasting all my money on Jakks Classics not knowing Mattel would out do them.

BoPPV Daniel Bryan with the Tag titles. Needed him to complete Heyman and go in my boxed collection, but I had just started collecting when JR was coming out last summer so he had been picked clean. Couple Cenas lasted until the $12 sale, and the others are still lingering.
Long story short I paid $45 on ebay and a month or so later a lone one popped up in my local TRU...

Glad you finally found that gosh darn Austin DM I haven't really overspent a ton on figs. I guess spending $95 on the hall of fame set when it first came out, but I feel like everyone spent about that or more to get them when I did. I guess spending $30 for the Elite 32 Mysterio when it first came out. I thought the cruiserweight belt would be a huge selling point and would be hard to find...but no, the Rey figures are collecting dust as always.

Mine would be paying $40 for HOF Sarge on EBay then seeing him at retail a week later.

Essentially every figure is a legends figure now. Nothing ever current as it was in the old days. My only complaint

Bought Legends Vader for 40 shipped and 2 days later they announced he was being made as a FB Elite 31. I bought it because it came with the helmet from Jakks, just like the new Elite had. I was so mad....

I don't order from RSC too often, nor do I overpay for anything on eBay. My only real regret would probably be buying Balls Mahoney. Only 6 bucks, but I have no use for him at all.

My biggest regret is not collecting Mattel WWE figures at the very beginning. I already had over 100 Jakks figures and did not want to start over on a new company. Years later I'm buying figures from the very first Elite series' for more than I should have.

I told this story in a confessions thread. I bought L5 Macho when it came out, and then I threw it out because I was embarrassed to own an action figure. Then Macho Man died and I felt kind of disgusted with myself that he had brought me so much happiness as a kid and I was embarrassed to have a figure of him. So I bought it again for twice the amount and that lead to the whole Legends line and Flashbacks. Not exactly what you were asking for but it was a ton of regret surrounding a figure purchase. Also bought the McFarlane Macho statue to further cement my Macho pride. I guess that L5 Macho Man is in a garbage dump somewhere wondering why I didn't love it. I'm sorry I didn't appreciate you L5, I was a fool, it was me not you!

When you buy a figure just for its parts, and later to discover it doesnt fit what you wanted to do in your mind
