Why are all these liberals calling him Drumpf as an insult? Aren't they supposed to be accepting of ethnic backgrounds and cultures? Imagine if Trump supporters were calling a black President by their slave name. Just another example of liberal intolerance. You mean like all the people who constantly refer to him as HUSSEIN Obama for the last 8 years? Honestly both sides of the argument are petty and silly. There are a million reasons to dislike Trump, Obama, and Hillary without having to resort to third grade level insults.

that's pretty funny coming from an american. russia is attempting to recolonize the country's surrounding them in eastern europe...the usa has been balls deep in the middle east stealing massive amount of resource for economic gain for longer than most members here have been alive. you're not 'the good guys'. I never said we were. I've been against our involvement in the middle east got like 15 years. fair enough. i think that the world would benefit from the two countries that own the largest supply of nuclear weapons being allied though.

This was what I was worried about. He tweeted his complaints of the protesters last night, then walked it back. Is this a preview of the next four years? Impulsively says or does something, faces backlash and then retracts it? What if he orders a strike on someone with improper intelligence and kills innocent people? My country really did not think this through. We were so blinded by emotion and did not think about logic. The problem with emotion is it can be dangerous if we don't reign it in and keep it in check. I'll also be boycotting New Balance and if you're Pro-LGBT like I am, you should too after their deleted Tweet. Maybe Trump is sincere about championing gays, and if he is, I applaud him for that. That doesn't mean everyone in his party or those associated with him feel the same way. I think they were meant for two different sets of protestors.. The first tweet was directed at the violent protestors that have been destroying property that are allegedly funded by George Soros. The 2nd I believe is for the peaceful protesting. As someone that supported Trump I believe that protesting is your right as an American as long as there is a cause.. We however have 2 groups of people in these cities, one where the protestors are peaceful with a message, and the others that are inciting violence looking to cause a riot.

If he had changed his name from Hussein to Henry and people were still calling him Hussein then I think it would be a large issue. People called George Bush George W all the time.

I was worried actually that in a scenario where Donald Trump wins, we would have even higher racial tensions than they have previously been.. And here we are. This is infuriating. Well here's the problem, it's not that Trump is or isn't a racist (I don't necessarily think he is) but the way he speaks about minorities and such, is often misinformed and uneducated. Think about it, the only time he has ever brought up black people and racial issues, is when he would link them to grave poverty and inner-city shootings. Now to many people its just plain wrong. Sure there are tons of black people poor and living in the inner-cities but there are communities all throughout the country where that is the farthest thing from the truth. I'm sure there are people all the time in Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago that walk down the street, go to the store, and go home, and guess what? They don't get shot or die! And that is probably the most frustrating thing about Trump when it comes to minorities. I just don't think he has experienced life outside of being uber rich and white. Technically it isn't his fault but when you open your mouth on a public stage about groups and demographics, you should probably go do some street observations and actually talk to people, not just watch the 11 o'clock news. In defense of Trump here, neither had most all Presidential candidates over the last 50 years.. Nobody ever asked George W Bush to check his privilege.. Despite him being the very definition of white privilege. And as someone that lives in an inner city and has experienced it his entire life, the danger is real.. And being out after dark in certain areas regardless of skin color is a big risk.

Why are all these liberals calling him Drumpf as an insult? Aren't they supposed to be accepting of ethnic backgrounds and cultures? He's being called out for lying about who he really is. Donald's last name is Trump. When his grand-father immigrated to America in the late 19th century, they translated his name from Fredrich Drumpf to Frederick Trump. This has happened to millions of people during this era of immigration. He isn't lying about anything - most people of European descent could likely trace their last-names back to an interpretation by a US agent.

But the purpose people used it instead of his preferred name is the same reason people are using Drumpf. Both are dumb.

It doesn't the fact that he seemed to retract and contradict himself just like on the campaign trail, though you could be correct in your interpretation.

Violent protest is never okay. Peaceful protest is always okay.
Conflating the actions of a select few violent protesters to a sea of peaceful protesters is wrong.
