Does any one here have any airsoft? I have recently been looking into them and have been wanting to buy some. If I was to start a collection, is there any guns or armor I should buy first?
Maybe someone can post pics if they have any
Thanks

I was really heavy into airsoft a few years ago. It's more less a military simulation, so if you go to any airsoft wars it will be a military simulation. I've seen ones on YouTube that had multiple buildings and missions they had to do. Alot of people are pretty diehard when it comes to the sport of airsoft. My advice when it comes to buying guns is for sure do your research. Watch reviews on the gun you want before you buy it. What gun works for one person might not the next. One person might find a different con that the other person didn't so watch reviews, I can't stress that enough. Also you get what you pay for, meaning if you get a $75 gun from Wal Mart or a sporting goods store it might not last as long as you hope. You may end up spending around $4-500 on one gun between the gun, furniture, scope, and anything else you wanna throw on it. There's both electric and gas powered airsoft guns. Alot of people choose gas because it's a hair bit more realistic with recoil, sound, and looks. The downside to gas is that it's difficult to get a hodl of. It's possible to use propane with a adapter but you need to use silicon oil to help lube it. Gas guns are also more expensive then electric. Electric guns have a special battery so you can't use like AA or AAA batteries lol. I prefer electric myself because of the batteries. If you get a good quality battery it can last you a few days with a decent amount of shooting. Then all you have to do it charge it for a few hours and you're good to go again. There's a ratio to how long you charge it depending on the output of the charger and the mAH of the battery. When it come's to gear, I recommend getting something that will work in your area(desert vs. woodland). You will need a vest with pouches for your extra mags and anything else you might need. Most people will also recommend getting a hydration pouch. You will be running around for a few hours with alot of gear so you might not have time to get a bottle of water but with a hydration pouch backpack you loop the tube on the backpack strap and you can get a drink that way. You will need boots, a helmet, and stuff like that. There's videos on YouTube of peoples load outs so you can get a good example of what all they use. The biggest thing you could possibly do wrong is to cover up your orange tip. Alot of people think it's cool and it makes their gun more realistic but it's just plain stupid to take it off or cover it up. If you ever have a run in with the cops over airsoft (neighborhood areas have this problem alot, I would know lol) it could get pretty bad if they don't see the orange tip. All in all it's alot of fun but can get costly. If you have any questions feel free to message me and I can try to help or point you in the right direction. Here's a few pictures of my airsoft guns.

Look online and do some research on Evike or websites that specialize in airsoft like that. Fortunately for me, I have an airsoft store nearby that sells high grade guns with optional attachments. You might spend a little more than you set out for, but you always have to be prepared. Look at parts too. Metal guns are more expensive, but work great in the long run.

Another site to check out other then Evike is Airsoft GI. They have some good stuff and can sometimes beat other places on prices. Evike is a great site with top quality stuff though.
