I was just wondering, is there any wwe programming on free tv anymore? Raw is a long show, SmackDown is also a long show, and they have ppv matches. Why doesnt wwe either rerun one of those shows or create a clip show with spots from different shows and syndicate it? I got to thinking this because I hate CBS shows yet those all seem to be syndicated.

But seriously, WWE has way too much content as it is.

For some reason WWE refuses to advertise to people who aren't currently watching their product.
Something like this idea should be filled with ads for the Network to increase their numbers.

Well you all are saying wwe network. If you notice though in my OP I ask why wwe isnt on FREE television. They could put a show on free over the air television and get revenue from advertisements. For someone to get the wwe network you need to pay a cable subscription of some kind and then on top of that pay another 10 dollars. That's a lot of commitment to watch wwe.
On the other hand a syndicated show would make the company money via ad revenue. So someone like me who doesnt want to pay for cable and then another 10 dollars can have wwe made available.
As a kid we didnt have cable. So I would watch wwf on free television. I would watch it on Sat and Sun mornings, and every now and then on sat nights. It made me into a fan, which as a fan I've spent a good chunk of money on wwe related products. So I see wwe not being on free tv as them killing off a potential fan base.

WWE Network has nothing to do with cable. and it's not $10. it's $9.99. They've made that excessively clear over the last year.

So you're telling me if I put 10 dollars on my television I'll get the wwe network and 1 penny? You have to have a Smart TV and or a gaming console, or a streaming service. I don't have a Smart TV, I havnt played video games in years, and I dont have the desire to sign up for a streaming service. So for someone like me there is no way to get the network. And the fact is that most wrestling fans are low income. I could sign up for the network via my smart phone but I don't want to watch wwe on a smart phone. I want to just casually sit back on my couch, turn the tv on, and watch, carefree as I did years ago.

they do for Raw, it's on Saturday 2 AM I doubt many small children can stay up that late. It just makes me wonder. Will this effect the wwe in the future? If kids can't watch wwe today, will they care for it tomorrow? I just see it as wwe killing off a fan base. And also losing out on Ad revenue and syndication royalties.

And the fact is that most wrestling fans are low income. This cracks me up.. I grew up in the poorest part of ohio. And even the poorest of the poor there had the money to do dumb crap. Beer, cigarettes ,drugs ect..... and its still the same way there. If you were POOR and managed your money. You could easily have 9.99 a month to pay for a subscription. And a roku with good Internet service isn't going to run you much either. Then at live events. I see these same poor people buying way more merch than myself. Have better seats. Standing there with a $400 replica belt....

You can watch it on any computer. Or with a cord, hook any computer to any TV made in the last decade. Or sit around and complain that things aren't like the old days and gas used to be $0.10 a gallon.

Link it to your TV and you can watch it on a bigger screen. I use Apple TV to watch it. It's 2015 so I'd say most people have cable or some form of streaming service like Hulu or the Network. As for the low income comment, I don't buy that for a second. Look at Wrestlemania for example. 76,000 were in attendance that night. Taking into account people flying from overseas, those buying merchandise and of course, those who buy the expensive front row seats. That's just one PPV but if these 'low income' fans are buying the live tickets, merchandise, replica belts, Network subscriptions etc then they're not exactly low income.

I get what you mean. You mean why isn't WWE tv on the local type channels like NBC,CBS,ABC,etc.Like how they had SD on the UPN network and WWE Slam as well and How Superstars used to be on WGN.I do think they should atleast have some free content for the people who don't have cable.

I don't think we need any syndicated WWE show. We're not exactly in the 1980's where you got the territories on certain channels in certain states. We're not in the late 80s/early 90's where they had Wrestling Challenge, Superstars, etc. on syndication. Things have changed from those days, we have a lot of content as it is, we don't really need any more as it is. We have cable and we have the Network. I don't see WWE doing syndication again. They don't really need to go on syndication.
