So you're telling me if I put 10 dollars on my television I'll get the wwe network and 1 penny? You have to have a Smart TV and or a gaming console, or a streaming service. I don't have a Smart TV, I havnt played video games in years, and I dont have the desire to sign up for a streaming service. So for someone like me there is no way to get the network. And the fact is that most wrestling fans are low income. I could sign up for the network via my smart phone but I don't want to watch wwe on a smart phone. I want to just casually sit back on my couch, turn the tv on, and watch, carefree as I did years ago. WWE Network can be accessed on a computer. Link it to your TV and you can watch it on a bigger screen. I use Apple TV to watch it. It's 2015 so I'd say most people have cable or some form of streaming service like Hulu or the Network. As for the low income comment, I don't buy that for a second. Look at Wrestlemania for example. 76,000 were in attendance that night. Taking into account people flying from overseas, those buying merchandise and of course, those who buy the expensive front row seats. That's just one PPV but if these 'low income' fans are buying the live tickets, merchandise, replica belts, Network subscriptions etc then they're not exactly low income. Yeah, that's more work than im willing to put into watching pro wrestling. I'd have to sit there, sign up to the network on my pc, then go fiddle around with the tv, all just to watch what I use to watch as a kid by just turning the tv on. On top of paying a monthly subscription. As far as that comment about Pro wrestling being for low income people, that's not from me. I actually heard that on a shoot interview from someone and it made sense to me. They were talking about how pro wrestling appeals to the lowest common denominator.

WWE Network has nothing to do with cable. and it's not $10. it's $9.99. They've made that excessively clear over the last year. In Canada it does. The WWE Network is a TV Channel here, for $11.99. It's kind of neat actually How does this work? Is it just what they choose to show or does it allow you to pull up what you want from the Network?

They do.
It's on Universal HD. Not everyone gets that channel. RAW and SD replay on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons.

And I'd like to add that back in the day far more people didn't have cable than who did. It was a luxury. So putting shows on basic channels was a smart move. Now , cable is common place. Most everyone has SOME SORT of way to watch past basic channels.
Satellite Dish U-verse Time Warner Direct Local companies
It's no longer a luxury to most people. It's the norm. So why put the effort and money into something that isn't going to further your company any longer?
Simply put. Times have changed.

RAW Replay and re-run airing is really a non-iussue. If you can't watch RAW when it's on, DVR it. My guess is that the majority of people nowadays have a DVR, and the most basic if TV packages contain USA Network and SyFy....so there really is no reason to re-air RAW or Smackdown at any other time. Watch them when they air or DVR them and watch them whenever you have time.
RAW and Smakdown is not like Seinfeld or Friends; you're not just going to run random episodes in syndication and actually get people to watch them. The WWE Network VOD library will serve whatever needs you have in regards to classic content.

Is it just what they choose to show or does it allow you to pull up what you want from the Network? We get the live stream as a TV channel. We have an on demand section too which has just the PPVs from 2011 - 2014 for the most part. But we can also get online too so we still get all the online stuff that everyone else gets, we just get the luxury of having the live streaming channel be a TV channel. So when I watched Wrestlemania, there was no buffering or anything like that, which could happen if watching the live stream online.

I like the idea of the live stream being a TV channel to avoid that buffering non-sense. At least you can still enjoy all the On Demand network stuff, that's good.

I go to the WWE Network.com site, I log in, scroll down to where it says Cogeco Cable for me, I click it, and log in, and bam! I can watch all the online stuff. I was watching all the January 1995 Raw shows last night online actually. We have the on demand for the TV too, but like I said, it's just all 12 PPV events from the past 3 years or so, and I don't care to see that. So I go online to watch what I want to see now.

I gotta get on that. Would probably work out better for me than my current Network setup.

On the other hand since I havnt watched in a long time I dont really miss it. I understand wwe wanting people to buy the network, but why not also try to get syndication? Doesnt UFC offer freebies on network television every now and then? A few weeks back I remember scanning the channels and I found one in Chicago called Tuff Tv, it was old reruns of "guy" programming. What caught my eye though was that every now and then they show old wrestling. I watched a few episodes of USWA, where I saw a guy named SoulTaker which is who we know as GodFather/Goodfather in wwe. It was awesome. I guess I would just love wwe to use the hours of footage they have of wrestling from years past.

Thing is, they do use footage of wrestling from years past that they own.........on the WWE Network. I mean I wish they had more than they do. Examples being more WCCW and more Old School live events, but they do have old school wrestling on the Network. If you had subscribed in February, which I believe was free that month, they had a section for Black History Month, which had Mid South Wrestling, Global Wrestling Federation and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling episodes on that section, plus an old episode of WWF Championship Wrestling.

I think you can get the app on Xbox 360/One. It'll be available on more and more devices sooner or later. I wouldn't be surprised if TVs start coming with it preinstalled. EDIT: It's available on Amazon Fire TV.

Syndicated TV is a dead medium for most new material. It's sad, as I grew up watching multiple wrestling companies through syndication. Not to mention all of the other shows and movies I discovered that way.
There are few syndication only channels left, and the ones that are mostly show reality shows that may be years old (I'm really not sure).
I lament this often.

I don't think WWE should be on any form of syndicated TV. I know my boy W would back me up on this
