If the basic figures has the holes in it then why didn't they just include the bandana with the figure?! This is Hogan we are talking about, the figure will sell and I am sure his figures are given a higher budget then others so why not include this small accessory so the holes won't be visible?! The recent Wrestlemania XXXI basic figure includes removable sunglasses so I don't see why this figure couldn't come with the bandana? I am currently debating between getting this figure or waiting for the superstar entrances figure (not sure if I like the painted on shirt?!). Of course being in Canada, I have lots of time to think about it as who the hell knows when B48 will show up here?! It only makes sense, since all basic Savage figures came with glasses as well. Same amount of plastic to make those as a headband!

Yes that's right, the Macho figures did come with sunglasses. Why does the modern Hogan basic come with the sunglasses but the classic era Hogan basic gets nothing- no love for WWF's Golden era Mattel?! While we are on the topic, I am also ticked that the B49 Bret Hart doesn't come with his trademark sunglasses, the figure just looks weird without the Hitman shades- how much would this add to the cost of the figure- a few extra cents?!

The two tones of yellow in the tights really threw me off getting the basic the other day.

The basic didn't come with a bandana Right so why the hair holes ? So you have an option to put one there. Idc if they didnt give him one. Put some putty in there. You two complain about everything. Keep buying chunky jakks crap. Dont give mattel your money. Post it in the suggestion box. Get another hobby...idk

The holes in the head is odd to me that's all, it's not about putting putty in them nor taking an accessory from another figure, it's not our job to modify figures to make them better. Anyways, I don't like Hogan so it's fine

Get another hobby...idk I dont understand why a few get so defensive is just impressions and a question/ you know a discussion many of us have asked , so why would you sell a Basic with holes in its head with no accessory ? I mean if Mattel is money hungry like everyone says they easily could have made a ton on basics without the holes in its head dont you think as so many dislike it i thought a basic ho-less would be a quick fix . PS love them Squid billies ! so weird but couldnt stop watching them

I think hes the first example because they jumped to get him done and its the same look as the DM.
Squids are weird and awesome. Most of Adult swim shows/williams street tend to be tho

I think they're both great figures... some people get too hung-up on the whole "holes in the head" thing... I mean, if you didn't know he was meant to have a bandana there, you'd hardly notice them(!). The likeness is spot-on for '80's Hogan though - Mattel nailed it. So you have an option to put one there. Idc if they didnt give him one. Put some putty in there. You two complain about everything. Keep buying chunky jakks crap. Dont give mattel your money. Post it in the suggestion box. Get another hobby...idk I dont understand why a few get so defensive Let's see... someone who doesn't like or collect Mattel figures, yet always comes in to the MATTEL FORUM to say what they don't like about them and slag them off - while constantly singing the praises of Jakks figures and posting huge Jakks photos. Yeah - who'd have thought people would find that annoying...?

The two tones of yellow in the tights really threw me off getting the basic the other day. This bothered me, too, (not as much as the head holes, though), but then it looked just fine in different lighting. The figure is a Two-Face.

How many Bret's are in the production run? Those few cents add up. My biggest complaint with Bret is that figure should have used Santino's new torso instead of the RRH/Mr Perfect torso. Santino's was available to them when this figure was being designed. And more importantly it should have had a new younger head scan. The head is to old for the era they were going for with the b49 figure.

They are not going to do a new head scan for a basic. This figure should have been shelved until they decide to release an elite Bret Hart HF figure with a proper head scan. After a certain period of time they could then have released the B49 figure.
I am wondering if we will see ever see 80s Hart Foundation figures- if they ever get the rights to Jim Neidhart I can see them releasing an elite figure of him with 90s Hart foundation attire (to match the others that have been released) and then a basic 80s HF figure to go with this Bret figure that is coming out. Hopefully I am wrong, Hart Foundation are popular enough to have both elite & basic figures released just like they did with the Legion of Doom.

I know they aren't making a new scan for Bret anytime soon, but that is still the number one issue with both the RRH and B49 figures. The head scan is much to old for both those figures. Followed closely by the poor torso choice for both.

The basic hate always comes out in these threads. Which is fine, opinions are opinions after all. I have no qualms with basics and if they are legitimately better then I will point it out. I don't have b48 Hogan yet, though, so I can't speak. But if it is better, this wouldn't be the first time, i.e. b28 Tensai or b37 Swagger.

The basic didn't come with a bandana Right so why the hair holes ? the simplest reason is usually the truth - because they just reused the DM head, rather than create a new mold or modify the existing one. they weren't going to create a brand new head when they felt they could just reuse an already existing mold.

I worked a bit with molds back in the day before I retired and I think they could have made a simple adjustment to the mold but who knows ? as the hair holes are the least of that DMs problems IMO .

Troll on.
