Today on the WWE Network they aired WCW SuperBrawl 2!
That is such a great PPV. Starting out with Liger vs. Pillman, then you get the mid-card guys who are putting on some good matches, then the final matches involving the Dangerous Alliance, Luger, Windham, Rhodes, Steiners, Steamboat and Sting.
I always felt those 1992 WCW PPVs had an ECW type feel to it, without the extreme language and hardcore to it.

I went, literally, decades without seeing this match, but hearing about it. when I FINALLY got to watch it on the Network last year... it didn't live up to the hype for me. granted, at least some of that has got to be how high my expectations for this were, but , honestly, Luger looked to me like he didn't care, and the finish came suddenly, and not even with a scorpion deathdrop or deathlock or anything.

It was some of the 1st stuff I watched on the Network, and still sometimes when nothing else is on, what I will watch on the Network. I saw it all when it happened, and had most on DVDs, but I really enjoy this time period. Post Flair (most of it) Pre Hogan.
I don't find myself watching much anything past 94 for either fed. Great stuff happened during the Attitude era, but it was so fast paced, week to week happenings. Too much for me to remember. I prefer the slow builds of the old days.

Lex was already out the door of WCW mentally when SuperBrawl 2 came around. He was just there to drop the belt to Sting, pack up and head to Wrestlemania VIII where he got to talk about the WBF while he sat out a year before he could wrestle in the WWE. Sting vs. Luger in 1989 was pretty awesome though. They had some great matches then on Main Event. On a side note, I always felt bad for Lex Luger's first WCW Title reign. He was clearly slated to beat Flair at the GAB that year and be a babyface champion. Instead they turn him heel when he wins the belt and his title reign just felt awkward, like he was holding it until Sting can beat him for it.
