The upcoming WWE 2K16 videogame will feature an “Attitude Era” component according to WWE commentator Jerry “The King” Lawler, who noted that it appears as if one of the 2K Showcases this year will be centered on Stone Cold Steve Austin, with Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross providing commentary for some of Austin’s most famous matches and segments. During the radio appearance on Cerrito Live in Memphis, Lawler had the following to say, “We’re already working on that. A lot of people ask about my old broadcast partner. They’re having in this year’s game, a big Stone Cold Steve Austin Attitude Era section and they have me and J.R. back together again in the studio doing voice-overs for that.” source: www.wrestling-news.net/wwe-2k16-to-feature-attitude-era-components/65381/It should be pretty cool. Hopefully a trailer is released online in the near future.

sweet, would've hoped for more of a "Monday Night Wars" kind of thing (you play Raw 1st, and then you play WCW) but still cool nevertheless

I'm cool with that. I hope we see some matches that weren't done in WWE 13 though like some 2001 stuff. I'm all for Austin/HHH vs.Taker/Kane from Backlash 2001!
What I really want is for most of the showcases to have a bunch of Ruthless Aggression era (2002-2008) stuff. I really liked a lot of the arenas from that time and it's nice to have as many arenas as possible due to the fact that excluding NXT, Payback 2014 and Wrestlemania 31, every modern arena in the game will have the same ol' arena but different graphics.

Just gimme 'John Cena Sucks' chants during John's entrance and I'll be happy (well, not really but I do want those chants).

Haven't they done this before?? I enjoyed Showcase this year, but there needs to be a lot more content to the game. MyCareer is pointless, and once Showcase was finished there's nothing left to achieve/play through.

Hasn't the Attitude Era been done to death already? I like me some Stone Cold for sure, but haven't we already seen and played all the key moments from his career over the past five or six games?

Well, if it means we can have Big Boss Man in 2k16, I'd be kind of OK with it, sort of.

Nice, anything from attitude era to ruthless aggression is cool with me. Cant wait to see it, of course I'd love to see a Kane showcase of some kind since he has never had an actual story dedicated to him in any recent game in the past 5 years or so. He is always skipped.

MyCareer is pointless, and once Showcase was finished there's nothing left to achieve/play through. I so worried that this is going to be the same exact game as, what, four years in a row? They NEED to improve MyCareer. It took so long to get to Raw that I honestly lost interest doing the same 1v1 matches that had no point to them at all. Or a Universe mode that really has reasoning behind the booking and angles, just a bunch of gimmick matches. It was a let down last year, and to me this is not a promising sign at all.

Sounds good to me.. anything from late 90's and early 2000's is good for me

I'll probably play through it once, hope it doesn't suck.
MyCareer and Universe both need to be expanded upon majorly though.

The games are too slow and easy, and they should make the moves like street fighter. Then it would be more fun trying to remember a wrestlers move set.

More money for you to spend on Showcases... no thanks. i dont care whos in it. and if JR isnt actually "in game" instead voice over for that mode, its even more of a letdown

I'll be happy just as long as they have Jerry Lawler commentating about educated feet being put to good use

Don't get me wrong, I liked the games. But, 11 year old me didn't like the fact that I had to do like Up, Down, Left, Circle, Triangle, L2 to do The People's Elbow in WWF Attitude.

I remember when WWF smackdown came out and I was in heaven,.. the controls were awesome compared to that former mess..
