Hear me out. I've just recently counted my elite collection and I can't help but want to count Natalya and Eva Marie etc if I'm including E21 AJ and Paige. They all have their little body crunch thing going on. When I look at my divas, I don't see basics, but elite figures, just because I think their quality is much better than their male counterpart basics. Like Kaityln from BO2013. I think that figure rocks and looks just as good as any elite diva.
As far as Elites go, I most definitely think that a Zeb Colter deserves elite status over Jack Swaggers E26 figure. An Ab crunch makes an elite figure? I prefer the detail and Colters figure has just that.
So do you consider them basics for, well, being basics?

I classify basics and elites as the same thing. They are all compatable with each other and made by the same company.

I can understand a Razor Ramon vs a basic Cena, but when it comes to Divas, they're all pretty much the same

I definitely count all the Divas as Elites (or "the same"), as they basically all have the same articulation. Managers or suited figures, it depends... if they have the double-knee joint (like the recent Battlepack Triple H) then I tend to think of them more as Elite too.

No, basic figures that come in basic lineups should be counted as basics.
If they retail'd for $10, they're basics.

Uh.. if they have elite articulation, they're elites. Of course, Divas and managers, eg Zeb do not have elite articulation though

The Basic Divas have exactly the same articulation as the Elite ones though... (I think only Miss Elizabeth had the double knee joint). So do we call them Elite or Basic? Or both?

Classify them however you want. Your collection, your rules. If you want an elite-only collection but want to count Divas then do it.
I collect them all so I've never personally felt the need to think on it too much.

I don't see any reason to put a label on them.

To me, the hip articulation is what matters. I cant stand basics and their Hitler march leg movement. I dont buy basics, but i do buy divas because they do have that articulation. I think they classify as their own model.
