I mean.. WWE rarely runs shows in Japan, let alone taped ones. The fans love him over there. Of course he was going to win. I don't think problem is that Cena won the last match. I think it's that if he was going to main event after Balor/Owens, it should have been a more intriguing matchup. Not a throw-away tag.

To those who complain that Finn Bálor and Kevin Owens should have main evented, well, it wasn't billed as an NXT event. It was billed as a WWE event that just happened to have the NXT World Championship being defended in the second to last match.
I woke up when the Chris Jericho/Neville ended so I'll watch that match later. The Divas Championship was meh. Brock Lesnar/Kofi Kingston did its job to present Lesnar as a monster. Bálor/Owens was awesome. Glad Bálor is now the NXT World Champion and Owens can now become a mainstay on the main roster. The tag match was one of those out of the mill, cliché tag match.
From what I saw, I would be open on seeing more of these in the future.

I get that it was a WWE event and not an NXT event. That's fine.
So if Balor/Owens doesn't close, Brock/Kofi should have. Even if it's short, it's A) Brock Lesnar and B) one of the two advertised matches on the show.

Awesome show. Tuned in around the end of Jericho-Neville and watched it at work. Loved seeing Balor win the NXT title! Bigger things await Owens

Watched all but the main event.
Not bad.

So Owens has to be winning the US Title at Summerslam right?
He could easily win it at Battleground but I somehow see that ending in a DQ or double count out.
SS could be where he wins it and maybe it could be a stipulation match like Falls Count Anywhere?

Watching it now. I woke up on time and thought to myself "I must get up, cause Kev cares what I have to say" and then I fell back asleep.

Not sure why people woke up so early? That's the beauty of the network, watch when you get up or whenever you got time. Just avoid the Internet/spoilers. Show was entertaining up until the main event, where I didn't care about. Cena + 3 jobbers. Was I the only one who didn't even know what the main event was until cena came out?
Japanese crowd was great. I also liked it was only 2 hrs instead of 3.

Good show. The main event lasted about 10 minutes longer than it needed to, and I definitely think the NXT Title match should have closed, but it didn't stop Owens vs Balor from being the best match on the show by a mile. No complaints honestly. Amazing match and Balor is NXT Champion and hopefully Owens will be off to take the US Title from Cena. I genuinely hope we get to see Owens vs Balor for the WWE Title someday, and I think, if all things stay on course, that we will.
Loved the Brock match honestly. You knew exactly what that was going to be and he came off looking like a total animal and the after the match stuff was perfect.
Japanese crowd was great and I think it's great WWE put on this type of show to air on the Network. I hope we see more of this kind of stuff moving forward. Absolutely got my $9.99 worth this morning.

If they had excluded the "main event", it would have been an awesome show. Having it end with Cena/Ziggler vs. Barrett/Kane was just so anti-climactic. Everything else was great though.

I woke up 15 mins before the show started but couldn't stay awake for it to start. I really should of just had the Network playing on my TV while I slept like always and then I would of just turned over and watched it, but I had to set it all up which I couldn't do. I was too sleepy.
But anywho, just finished the event and it was amazing.
Jericho/Neville was great. I remember thinking "damn, Jericho just did every match ender in this match, Neville is going to pick the victory up here" when he was going for that final Red Arrow, but then Jericho countered it into a Liontamer and at that moment I realized Jericho had one more big move and that was it. Great opener.
The Divas match was very dull. A running forearm to end it from Nikki Bella to Tamina? Yikes.
Lesnar/Kofi was everything I expected it to be, and it was good to finally see what played in my head the last few weeks actually happen.
Owens/Balor was MOTN. Amazing match. I loved Owens heeling it up by throwing the flowers and then yelling at the Ring Crew "I like a safe work environment" while they were cleaning up the streamers. I marked for the Bloody Sunday, even if it kinda came out as more of a Butterfly Suplex. Pretty glad the match ended the way I wanted it to, with Balor winning a hard fought match cleanly, without any Cena interference. Balor is the future no doubt.
The Main Event was a basic House Show type Main Event. These kind of matches don't translate that well in broadcast form, but it is what it is. I lol'd at Barrett making his entrance and that crew member falling down and sticking his head up to the bottom of the camera frame. I want a gif of that. This probably would of been better if it was Kane/Rollins instead of Barrett but I'm guessing Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns and everyone else who were missing are in the States for House Shows and enjoying the 4th so I guess Barrett was the best choice.

It's awesome to say "I watched Bálor win his first NXT championship on the Network LIVE in Japan."

I had to LOL at the Japanese fans booing the Divas match and pretty much being completely uninterested. When will WWE learn its not the fans, its the Divas.

And I watched it right when I got up. 2 hour delay didn't feel less live and not feeling tired later on today was worth it to me. Maybe I'm older and value a good nights sleep more then others.
