Similar to The Kevstaaa's thread, I thought I'd make this one..
Who would you re-hire that WWE have recently dropped the ball on and released?
1. Shelton Benjamin - In 2004, the guy was wrestling Triple H and nearly beat him. In 2005, he got a PPV win over Chris Jericho. It genuinely seemed like he was headed to the top with Cena, Edge and Orton, but he got stuck with the mama gimmick in 2006 and got derailed, but he still came back with a great gimmick in The Gold Standard. He'd fit in perfectly with today's WWE.
2. John Morrison - If you watch LU, I don't even need to say anything. John Morrison is easily the biggest mistake WWE have made in the past 5 years. When Miz and Morrison broke up, they had the whole "you're the Jannety of us" deal, and it seemed like Miz was destined to be the Jannety, but, fast forward 5 years, and Miz is a former WWE Champion, multiple time US and IC Champion, and multiple time tag team champion. One has to wonder if John Morrison could have been in that position.
3. Willie Mack - If you're unaware on who Willie Mack is, go and check out some of his work in the Californian indies. The guy is huge at near 300lbs, but he can move like a freakin' Crusierweight. Mack got hired by WWE last August, but he was released before he even had one match for WWE. Serious waste right there.
4. Justin Gabriel - Maybe he wouldn't have gotten any higher than the midcard, but like him or not, Gabriel is a great worked and very exciting to watch. At the very least, WWE could have given him a run with the US or IC Title, but since about 2012, he just sort of fizzled out into jobber status. I hope he gets re-hired and put into NXT again, because he's a perfect fit.
5. Mason Ryan - A lot of people might be scratching their heads at this one, but in my opinion, Mason Ryan is one of the best big man workers WWE has had in the past 10 years, and I feel like he brought something original and fresh to NXT as a huge powerhouse. I liked Ryan a lot and feel he should be re-hired.
Feel free to leave your lists below.
