I think the split down the middle of the shirts are ruining the appearance of Hogans attire. It really stands out in the new HOF Hogan with the red shirt. I know its meant to reflect his ripped shirts but Id rather the vests appear intact without the split down the middle.
Jakks made the same mistake and as a result the hogan vests were awful looking with the velcro often not sticking and the "Hulkamania" letters all spread out and uneven.

Agreed. It's the biggest problem with the HOF Hogan since that figure is mainly a ring entrance gear. I don't find posing the ripped shirt looks all that great either.

The ripped shirt pose doesnt really work anyway because you cant get much seperation of the shirt, secondly shirts/vest dont rip in a perfectly straight line lol...I think its poor from the MDT to pick this appearance and they need to change it and just give us a vest without the split/tear. I bet if Mattel showed us a version of him wearing the torn vest or a perfectly intact vest collectors would go with the latter. Aesthetically it would be more pleasing and work best for the figure.

It was a nice try, but it's time to stop making them that way. I display my Hogans with the shirts on, so I don't care if the shirts are removable at all.

and I've seen a lot more mistakes and printing on the rubber shirts then you do on any of the cloth shirts when I got my DM Hogan I had to like hand pick him and every single one of the shirts Hulkamania was smudged smeared or you couldn't clearly see it because of the way the rip was.. it took like three weeks to find a good one plus I just think a cloth shirt would be better with a Hogan I just hope if they let out a Hollywood version and he has an NWO shirt... that it is cloth

Ralphs cloth shirt looks wonders better than Mattel's takes. I understand budget isn't as large as we would like, but even non ripped plastic (E34 shirts) look better than ripped

Mattel aren't charging 19.99 though, that is the shops price.

Here's the thing too, if guys like Billy Gunn and Road Dogg can come with 2 shirts in the package, why can't the Hogan figures come with 2 shirts. One that is ripped, and one that is full. Therefore you can decide which one you want on your Hogan figure.

Ya it was a cool idea on the DM because that was his first Mattel but now it's just ruining the apperence of the other figures. It would be fife rant if you could get a good ripping pose but you cant, seiriously about 3 months ago i showed my uncle my DM hogan and he asked me why i cut his shirt.

Hopefully the MDT read this thread because its clear we want this split vest scrapped. You like it scrapped but there are others like me who likes the ripped shirt as it is. A non ripped one would be good too. i like both.

I actually really like the shirts. Easy to get on and off. Can always recreate him tearing his shirt off. And it doesn't look THAT bad if you display it properly.

Ya I don't think we need anymore of those now. We need a Hulk Rules cloth shirt and of course for the future nWo Hogan cloth shirts would be nice.

I dont mind them but they should space out the ripped shirts so we have some variety. I pose my DM Hogan in a shirt-ripping position which looks quite good, but I don't want all my Hogans posed this way.
A ripped shirt once in a while would be fine.
