This is my first post in this section so I dont even know if this is in the right place, if its not more fool the noob can the mod close / move the thread Anywho, I was bantering why Doctor Who sucks with my mate the other day when I think I stumbled on a genuine mistake. Shouldnt it be Doctor Whom? His name is unknown, he just goes by The Doctor, so shouldn't it be Doctor Whom

The point of the name isn't what the show title indicates.
It's actually related to the show as "the first question, the question that should NEVER be answered, the question you (Dr) have been running from all your lives. Doctor Who?"
Who are you is the meaning it's who, not whom. It's The Doctor asking himself who he is, because he's tried to forget who he was/has been for so long he doesn't really know himself and still wants to keep forgetting. You don't have to be a fan of the show, just if the concept of the show is pointed out in detail, the grammar of the name makes sense.
The title has nothing to do with US not knowing his name. It's all about THE DOCTOR figuring out who he is. "Who am I? The Doctor. Doctor Who?" That's it.
