Amazing that people are sh*tting on EC3 calling the TNA title the most important belt in wrestling. Of course he'll call it that, THAT'S HIS JOB! What did you want him to say, that the belt means f*ck all to him? He's the TNA Champion, he's supposed to call it the most important belt in wrestling, because that's the belt he won. I swear, some of you people will nitpick everything about TNA. Hell, as far as i'm concerned, he made the TNA title feel more important in 4 minutes, than WWE has made their belt feel important in 6 years. How the hell did he make the belt feel more important? He has done what every other WWE reject who TNA has put the belt on has said when they won. They subliminally trash WWE and act like its not them that led to their release. So they win a title that has zero meaning and a title that will soon to be a pawn shop special and act like that is their way of saying " you WWE, im better than you and this proves it". I'm so sick of these bitter WWE rejects having a huge grudge because WWE had no interest in them. Instead of the dude calling himself "The new game" and trashing WWE because he won "the most prestigious belt in the industry" , He should worry about even being employed in 2 months. EC3 isn't Derrick Bateman, he has a totally different gimmick now so it's not fair to call him a WWE reject when it was solely TNA who built him up and gave him TV time, something he never had while in WWE.

EC3 was released from WWE without ever being given a fair opportunity. When your dream is to be a professional wrestler and the biggest wrestling organization in America releases you because they believed that you had nothing to contribute, of course you're going to be bitter about it. We give TNA a lot of sh*t and deservedly so, but no one can deny that they succeeded where WWE failed to in giving Ethan the opportunity that he deserved to show what he can do. As Derrick Bateman, we laughed with him and found some enjoyment, but it would be difficult to find anyone who saw him and believed that he had main event potential. That never meant that he didn't, though. As Ethan Carter III, the guy has showcased himself as one of the industry's top heels, something that we would have never known had it not been for TNA allowing him a platform. In a company that is filled with douchebag executives and a laughable creative department, EC3 was the ONE THING that they got right over the past two years. They gave him the ball and he ran with it. As a reward for proving everyone wrong, Ethan became World Champion. When hardly anyone believed in him just a few years ago, to hold any sort of World Championship has to be the most exhilarating feeling for him. Calling the TNA World Championship the "most prestigious title in all of wrestling" or however he worded it, isn't something he should be marred for. What do you expect him to say? "I won this title, but it could've been better?" Ethan took this opportunity and slapped WWE in the face with it by showing them that they wasted one of the most valuable talents in all of professional wrestling today. THAT is what made the TNA World Championship feel important for once - the right guy won it.

Good stuff. Wish he would have cut that live in the ring as soon as he won instead though.

I think promo of the year is a stretch, he was stumbling over his words like crazy. It was good for a guy caught up in the emotions and such but it wasn't promo of the year. And I love EC3 so don't be thinking that I'm trying to discredit him.

This promo was great, but I think the promo the week before was better...
“Standing in front of me is the greatest wrestler who has ever lived. Kurt Angle you are the best because you have beaten the best. You have beaten Heartbreak Kids and Texas Rattlesnakes. You have beaten Cerebral Assassins, and Electrifying men. You have beaten Next Big Things, Ayatollahs, Nature Boys, and Superstars who are Rated R. Kurt, you have beaten Dead Men, Immortals, and hell *does the you can't see me gesture* guys who you can't even see. You have beaten Submission Machines, Phenomenal Ones, Charismatic Enigmas, Icons, and Kings of Mountains. But Kurt Angle, what do they have in common? They have been beaten. I haven't. And Kurt Angle, you can't beat me…”

I wouldn't call the TNA title prestigious, but it was a good promo. There was a lot of great talent and legends who carried that belt so it does have prestige to it.Especially Bobby Lashley who had probably the best run with that belt much better than a normal WWE title run they usually give there champions. But I get it it's TNA even when they do something right lets find Something to talk negative about.

I feel it has more than the WWE title,.. that ugly toy has been nothing but passed around hell I think it was Foley who referred to it as been so easy to get you could get it for halloween trick or treating.. the belt should ALWAYS be whats most important.. I hated EC3 at first but I warmed up to him and he is right. Good for him for giving that belt more credibility.

Number of times the WWE World Heavyweight Championship has been passed around in the past 5 years: 21. Number of times the TNA World Heavyweight Championship has been passed around in the last 5 years: 22. Lesson: Neither company treats their World Titles as important. Ring of Honor on the other hand, knows how to treat their belts as important as they have had 22 World Champions TOTAL in the companies existence and only 2 of which had champions winning the belt a second time. I'm not debating whether EC3 should have acted like the belt is unimportant because he should, he's the champion of the company. But to play like the TNA title is somehow more important because it hasn't been passed around as much is a bold faced lie.

I love EC3. He's doing a lot right now that reminds of me of what Bobby Roode was doing back in 2011-2012. Not literally doing the same things, obviously they're different characters, but when Bobby Roode held that TNA Title, he was the best champion in all of pro wrestling imo. He's a guy that walks around like he belongs and deserves to be champion. He has that chip on his shoulder, the look, the talking ability. There is absolutely nothing not to like imo. If TNA is going down come September, it will go down with a GREAT talent as the company's last World Champion. I'm happy he got that moment, and he deserves to go back to WWE.

I honestly didn't think the promo was even that good. It can't be easy trying to bring credibility to a championship handled by a promotion that is widely considered a total joke by the majority of fans and members of the industry.
Guy is talented, though, hopefully he finds a good spot somewhere when TNA inevitably folds.
