There are reports circulating throughout the Internet, in particular on Kotaku, that Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has passed away at the age of 55.
Should this be true: damn. He was just on E3. Know he hasn't been out in public recently because of the ailment that reportedly has killed him, but if true it's a crying shame.

This is incredibly sad, given how much he is given to the industry.

It was a bile duct growth. I'm devastated. He was such a kind, good man. Who can say these days that a head of a company is cool and nice enough to become an icon within himself and a meme? Praise Iwata. I will miss you, sir. My heart goes

Wow I just checked IGN and saw this terrible headline.
He was relatively young (55) to die so this sucks!
RIP to him.

I hope his dream of the Nintendo theme park still comes true How come I never heard of this before? I only heard of it a few hours after the news of his passing was announced.

His presence always put a smile on my face. He was charming and funny, and his body of work is influential. He made me look forward to every Nintendo Direct. They won't be the same without him. R.I.P.
