thats a sad and touching letter but atleast he is honest enough with himself to know he will never be a world champion which is a shame cause he damn sure could have carried the big gold before they got rid of it....its hard not to root for cody i hope he gets his personal satisfaction when his fued with arrow is completed

Cody should have been champion anytime from 2011 - 2012 IMO. Could've been one of the finest World Heavyweight Champions in WWE history.

That was a good read.
I hope he gets his dream of becoming WWE WHC but I just don't expect it to happen anytime soon especially with him as Stardust..
I totally agree that he should have been WHC in 2013. He could have easily beat ADR the next month after MITB and had it until they had to unify the belts (Cena would have to randomly win it but oh well at least he would have been a former world champion).

MitB 13 was definitely the right time. That would have been such a great moment. Sounds like he is fully committed to playing out this Stardust thing and I can respect that, but I really loved Cody as Cody.

It's obvious that the whole Stardust vs Arrow thing is a tribute to something his father had wanted to do back in the NWA days (crossover story with a celebrity) and he had intended for his dad to be in attendance to see his son's grand idea come to fruition. That's why he says "finish what you start." He's going to see this through to the end, as a tribute to his father.
And I didn't think he's given up on being World Champion, he's just saying he won't be able to have the moment he had wanted to where he would win and celebrate with his dad.
