Here's the headline story on TMZ: m.tmz.com/#Article/2015/07/25/wwe-owner-vince-mcmahon-hulk-hogan-n-wordSo, it's ok for Vince to do it on national television but Hogan can't in his own privacy?? I hope this headline goes viral because it's only fair. If the WWE is going to fire Hogan and slander him, then it's only fair that Vince McMahon should be viewed in the same light. He did the same damn thing. Look at the context of which McMahon playing a fictional version of himself is saying and compare it to Hulk Hogan saying it not once, not twice, but multiples times and with such hatred.mNobody gets mad at actors who use it in movies and what not. If Vince in privacy was saying it, like Hulk did it would be hypocritical of him to fire Hogan.

If you don't know the difference between a slip up and a racist tirade, you shouldn't be in this discussion. If you don't understand racism, you shouldn't be in this discussion. Sadly one of the only people making sense is gone

Read this early yesterday morning but had a busy day and am just now getting caught up.
TRW nailed it. WWE did exactly what they needed to do. Plain and simple.

People need to realize that Hogan is gone. He was fired for the right reasons, and WWE wouldn't have released him if it was the wrong thing to do.

What pisses me off the most is that there's absolutely no forgiveness. Hogan has apologised. Why can't people just let up, forgive him, and move on? The people chastising him of this are the worst of the worst. People make mistakes and say things they don't mean in fits of anger. i agree with you 100%. what gets me is that people say mean things to people all the time. what happened to getting offended and letting it rub off a persons shoulder? he apologized and everything. too many people hold grudges. plus, this was 8 years ago when noone even knew about it. it didnt affect anyone then, and all of a sudden it gets brought up and people get offended? completely stupid!

Hogan and Vince worked extremely close together for many years. If you believe Hogan is a racist then Vince knew about it and is probably racist too.
Because Hogan is not a racist, Vince should have stood by him. Vince knows Hogan isn't a racist that is why cutting Hogan loose was the wrong thing to do.
Most people know Hogan isn't a racist. Most people are willing to forgive and forget. Most people want to see Hogan in WWE.
The WWE is caving into a vocal minority who want to tear Hogan down for all of the wrong reasons, reasons that are harming us as a society.
What WWE did was cowardly and wrong and they're paying the price. Shares of their stock have dropped in value significantly since firing Hogan.
Why? Because people know the truth about Hulk Hogan and they don't want to support a company run by two faced cowards.

well.. the one thing I think everyone can agree with is... someone really had it in for Hogan...
I mean.. they waited 8 years, until Hogan was back in the WWE and doing well before they struck, just to watch his downfall.

Hogan's lawyers are pursuing legal action. I wouldn't be surprised if Clem was asking leading questions in order to get Hogan to say those things.

HE SAID HIMSELF HES A RACIST, and after that followed up with disgusting language. WWE did the right thing. Vince did the right thing. JUST LET IT GO.

It's a little hard to defend someone as not being a racist when they say, "I'm a little racist" and go on a racial tirade.
And the Vince thing from Survivor Series a decade ago can't be compared. He didn't use it in the same manner as Hogan, and on top of that, was playing a character. Context is everything there.
WWE handled everything just as they should have. Keeping ties to him would have been a horrendous business move.

He said he guesses he's a racist and that everyone is a little racist in private to the girl he was sleeping with. He then said in public that he's not a racist and apologized for using that word. His friends and colleagues, many of whom are black, then said that he's not a racist. Vince knows he's not a racist too, because they worked closely together for so long. He should have stood by him. Turning his back on him was a mistake. The state of WWE's stock confirms it was a mistake. I get why people want to believe he is a racist though, despite the fact that the evidence he is not a racist is overwhelming. That doesn't change the reality that he isn't a racist though.
