I agree that ugly isn't the right word, but I don't disagree with that video. I think he really nails it at the end. You can afford to not shoot in digital, so don't shoot in digital. I really do think that's a huge missing element of realism that creates a disconnect between the audience and the viewer in 2016. It has almost a plastic look to it and damn near every modern movie has that same souless visual texture, which definitely goes beyond just color editing. Stranger Things was shot with a Red, and I think that show looked extremely authentic visually. So maybe that really is just the missing element is better cameras. My guess is that he's right about the test marketing and the more "concrete" look does better than campy popping colors. I honestly thought Guardians was pretty fantastic from a visual standpoint, but then it's definitely a unique environment from the rest of the MCU. This is all nitpicking stuff that doesn't really matter to the masses at the end of the day. Most people don't watch enough movies to take them for more than just face value anyway. I absolutely loved Strange, so I won't complain too much about the details of the painting as long as I think the overall picture is pretty. I don't think now is the time to start treating the MCU like more than just good-great popcorn flicks, either. I'm not trying to hold something like the next Thor movie up to what I'd expect out of a Scorsese film. There are exceptions, like the Blad Runner sequel for instance where the bar is just going to be two-fold, but I'm just not really ever expecting The Dark Knight to be a barometer for comic book films, nor should it be imo. I think this is an excellent point. I don't think people should expect The Dark Knight or Scorsese type films when it comes to Marvel.. To expect such a thing is just ridiculous. But for me when it comes to Marvel I DO expect to be dazzled. My eyes should be begging me for more (like with Doctor Strange). I want depth and I want vibrant colors. I want Marvel to look like a comic book in terms of its color.

Just read that Angela Bassett has been added to the Black Panther cast, and will portray Ramonda, T'challa's mother. Awesome news - big fan of hers. Another great black actor.......holy crap what a cast. I think BP is gonna be huge lads....I really do.

Really stoked that the Homecoming trailer will be seen during Rogue One...I've no doubt gifs will be made of certain short scenes of it and used as avatars and signatures here...! Wait... Who in their right mind would want Spider Man as an avatar or signature?

Saw Doctor Strange on my Burfday, Really Great CG, So many CG Artists that worked on this film; Villain was kinda bland but had enough lines to say he was passable; Great Movie, I wish they didn't have it be super comedic, i Mean Ant-Man was supposed to be a Comedy, I never thought Doctor Strange should have so many jokes, I'm not saying have zero jokes, but have a little less humor, there was a good portion of drama though. Cumberbatch was a good choice, he was great throughout the film, but him with an American Accent was really weird; Dormamu was hella dope, So you know how in the Animated Doctor Strange film, he gets to the mountain he sleeps in empty room then with each passing deed he does he gets rewarded with: a Hay bale, a warm bath, a bed, they didn't do any of that this film, it was like "Well here's your bed and the Wifi password, ENJOY!" i liked the animated films way of better handling that, but You know it's fine. Karl Mordo, soon to be Baron I hope was...Am i Wrong to say he was bland? I mean he had good lines, the actor did good but he felt uninteresting, Tilda Swinton was fine, Super OP though. There isn't a dull moment in this movie at all, all I could think of when i Saw Rachel McAdams was: "MOLE, MOLES EVERYWHERE! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
Good Movie.

I was thinking about something while driving for work this morning...
The one thing that the MCU excels at that the X-Men movies failed to do is building new characters for the future. We see guys like Spider Man, Black Panther, & DR Strange make their debuts recently. And from what I understand, they will eventually be the ones leading the Avengers while Cap, Iron Man, & Thor all move aside. But for now they are using those established characters to help get fans acquainted with the new characters. It's brilliant.
Meanwhile you got Fox who for the most part only used the same characters over and over and over. And then when they are forced to reboot, they still used the same characters! If they had planned long term, we should be having Iceman, Jubilee, & Rogue leading the X-Men now. But instead we have a franchise that was more/less built around one guy. A guy who plans to retire after the next film. They've screwed themselves.

Has anyone else been watching Agents of Shield this season? I've been really liking the Ghost Rider stuff, even if it's a bit wacky.
Plus Chloe Bennet is a person who exists and I enjoy looking at.

I have. Been enjoying it. Pissed at air schedule though. No wonder nobody watches normal cable stuff anymore. Air like 5 episodes, 4 week break, air two more episodes, gone for three months again. Why not air these two episodes with the first set and do one big break? Nobody knows when new episodes will play when they jump around like this. This is why it's getting easier to just wait until the seasons are out on Blu ray.

Very much enjoying it. But seriously, coming back from a three-week hiatus just to go right back on a hiatus until January... argh.

Irish TV hasn't picked up AOS season 4 yet and this f*cked up schedule is probably why. I can probably expect to see it over here in January.

I swear Chris Pratt looks to have gained 10 or 15 pounds of solid mass from 2014 to 2016.. Dude looks massive.

When you steal the entire trailer with a scant few scenarios ...no doubt in my mind, Gunn and co knock this out of the park once more. 😁 In fairness Chris it always looked this way....even before we seen a second of footage. The record time in which Gunn wrapped primary shooting was widely applauded and it confirmed Cast & Crew were 100% on the same page and passionate as hell about the project. I'm personally delighted for Gunn, Feige & Marvel. I have no doubt all 3 Marvel entries next year will be crackers. One of Disneys best ever decisions was buying Marvel.....because when you team it with Pixar and Star Wars? no other studio has close to what they have going on.

Shame that the comics are awful though. But yeah, this looks good. Not a big fan of the MCU personally, but this looks to be as fun as the first so I'm looking forward to it. As I said to my brother Wonder Woman is so screwed.

Couple of questions regarding the MCU
I just watched The Incredible Hulk and then Thor Dark World yesterday Now I've seen all of the MCU movies but it's been a while. Those two and GOTG & Dr Strange is it probably since Civil War came out
Where is or what ever happened to Betty Ross? And are we under the assumption that Abomination is dead? He didn't really look dead after the fight but maybe he was?
Then for Thor. Where is Jane Foster supposed to be? Like I said it's been a while since I've seen Avengers or whatever Thor has done since TDW. Didn't know if it was ever explained
Thanks in advance
