How can there only be three more episodes left of Legion? It's not fair, dammit! But really, it's absolutely blown away my expectations. Also noticed that Patrick Stewart said he'd be willing to make an appearance on the show as Professor X. Please let it happen. They've done a damn fine job with that show.

Here's a thought... What if Star Wars and the Marvel Universe are one in the same? And that the "The Force" is nothing more than a mutation power? There's a lot of similarities if you think about it.

Don't give them any ideas.. This is the road they might go down when both properties stop dumping truck fulls of money on their doorstep.

Sigh... so I guess Sony still intends to release their Venom movie next year in October. Morons. All of them. If they would just wait a few years, they would have ample chance to do Venom (and Carnage) right. But, uh, I guess at least that Sinister Six movie isn't happening.

Ugh Venom! How does a Venom movie work without Spider-Man? THe only way I can think of is if they do something like the Shiver story which is basically just a rip off of The Thing and is not actually something I would be all that excited about watching to be honest. I had a feeling that they might go the Agent Venom route as we have a whole generation of kids now who have that as their Venom.
I would love to Spider-Man taking on not just Venom, but Carnage and the rest of the Symbiots I think it would be freaking awesome and something they could easily get two movies out of if not a whole saga!

Three episodes in to Iron Fist and unfortunately it is just bland.

I f*cking LONG for the symbiote saga to be done right.....and by right I mean 2 movies MINIMUM. But with Sony going ahead with Venom? this becomes seriously unlikely.
Although it wouldn't be the 1st time they cancelled a plan of theirs so Ill remain optimistic!!

Everyone but Sony seems to know, you can't do a Agent Venom or Carnage movie until you've properly introduced Eddie Brock. And you can't introduce Eddie Brock till you've established the Daily Bugle and JJ Jameson.
The whole symbiote saga should be built up over the coarse of several films. Build up the fans anticipation for it like the MCU has done with Thanos. If Sony would wait, I'm sure Marvel would love to handle Venom the right way. Hell maybe they could even introduce the symbiote in GOTG3 or somehow tie them into it getting to Earth. And that would explain how the symbiote finds Peter Parker out of everyone in the city.
If Sony insists on forcing too much too fast they're going to end up with the DCEU problem. And we've seen how Sony f***s things up with they cram too much into a movie (SM3 & ASM2).

I feel it can work with JJJ & the Bugle Marino or without the sumbiote being explained fully as alien....Symbiote Saga goes like this......
Movie 1- Villain is Doc Ock. They fight in some sinister lab or another where Spidey is well and truly beaten. Glass case he was thrown into contains the symbiote. they meld and he beats Doc Ocks ass..movie ends on cliff-hangar with evidence that the costume is intelligent.
Movie 2....Spidey goes up against the double act of Kraven & The Puma. During the course of the movie he develops the struggle with the costume. During the movie you are introduced to Eddie Brock(big dude please) who reports on a crime that Kraven & Puma have framed Spidey for. Spidey exposes this via Parker(Parker needn't work for the Bugle) & Brock is ruined. Spidey defeats Kraven & Puma after a friggin herculean effort but cant take the costume off. He then goes to the bells of the nearby church after discovering earlier in the movie that the costume is sensitive to sound. costume bleeds off onto Eddie Brock who is pleading for forgiveness in a confessional over his hatred for Parker & Spidey......last image you see is the teeth and tongue and a silhouette of Venom.
Movie 3? full on throwdown between Venom & Spidey.
IMO its REALLY simple to do.

I have a feeling that the Sony/Marvel Studios deal is going to end up an a really difficult legal battle before this is all said and done.
I mean honestly, what do we really know about their deal?
If I was Marvel I would be looking for ways to sue for breach of contract if Sony started churning out Spider-Man related movies.

From what I understood, the deal was that Sony still keeps full distribution rights for the Spider-man films and keeps all of the revenue. But Fiege comes in as a executive producer. And that Marvel is allowed to use the character in certain films of theirs. But Sony has the ability to make whatever films they want and has final creative say. And in return for allowing Disney to use him, they get access to certain characters that Sony may not have the rights to. Hence Iron Man being in Homecoming.
Honestly, Marvel just wanted him for Civil War/Avengers. If Sony totally screws the pooch with the franchise again, Marvel will either stop using Spidey post Avengers 4, or just ignore everything Sony is doing during his appearances

I don't really understand why Marvel wanted to make this deal WITH Sony.. I understand wanting Spider-Man for the MCU but Sony's movie division has been in shambles for quite a few years.. MCU gave them so much power and it baffles me. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony moves forward with Venom, Sinister Six, Aunt May solo films and literally everything other than Spider-Man. Unless Marvel was wanting to get their foot in the door before Sony's eventual liquidation of all film properties. Idk.. I honestly wish I knew more and I appreciate your insight.. I just feel that Sony is getting ready to reeally muddy the waters of the MCU with a bunch of related Spidey films that have ZERO connection to the MCU.

I imagine it is getting the foot in the door just in case they have a chance to acquire the rights fully later. What I wish I knew was merchandising breakdowns. I'm curious if Disney gets to keep revenue from their appearances of him in films like Civil War and Avengers for toys or if it's just Sony that keeps all of it. Part of it is also probably the folks at Marvel wanting the character to shine again. They're obviously going to be big fans.
