So, SummerSlam will be Brock vs. Taker and a bunch of filler for the other 3 1/2 hours?? The card is shaping up to be awful. Looks like someone majorly jumped the gun assuming Sting would be wrestling at SummerSlam and the dirt sheets ran with it.

I'm going to Summerslam this year, so I'm absolutely f*cked.

well, that makes the "additional hour" irrelevant then.

I'm not bothered by this. If Sting did in fact wrestle at SummerSlam, then cool. If not, that's fine with me, too.

There really isn't an intriguing match for him right now, so I'm fine with it.

I've kinda had this feeling that Sting was never going to be in a match and that everyone's just covering their tracks now. Like...teaming with Amell to face Stardust and Miz made no sense since Miz is busy with Big Show and Stardust will probably end up facing Neville who has Amell in his corner. The Wyatts thing was even more outlandish since I thought it was pretty clear since last week that they were going Reigns/Ambrose vs. Wyatt/Harper.
I'd say at best Sting will have a run in to set up another feud for later down the road and that's it at most.

I was kinda warming up to the idea of Roman/Ambrose/Sting vs Wyatt/Harper/3rd man.

They may be simply trying to keep the surprise

Well Sting was never a selling point for me. Ever. So not too concerned. Though I wonder what all we will get to fill the time.

sting is old as balls and we already have to watch undertaker stumble around for 30 minutes.
They shouldn't build a PPV around a bunch of has-been guys who wrestle 1-2 matches a year. They need to promote guys on the current roster. Hell let Owens and Finn Balor carry the show. Even if they're wrestling the night before. Excellent chance to grab interest on the main roster

I cant believe people like the idea of sting leaning against a ring post for most of a match in a mixed tag with the wyatts anyway. I will never get it. Of course I'll take that over the recent DIVA/Charlotte-fest which makes me want to go change my daughters diaper

i just dont understand that after like 15 years you sign STING and the best you can do is not have him wrestle for 3 months, then lose a wcw vs wwe over-booked match to Triple H and then NOTHING else. maybe it really was just to get some money off merch, but really they are like " Sting" because he didnt want to work for them all that time ago

Looks like someone majorly jumped the gun assuming Sting would be wrestling at SummerSlam and the dirt sheets ran with it. exactly, and that person was Meltzer. so now i guess "Plans have changed" when they were never in the cards to begin with same with the Stephen Amell thing SummerSlam is in three or four weeks. Stardust has been in a fued with Neville, and Miz with Ryback. I think once again Speculation became Sources. so the Dirtsheets once again rolled with it. Dont you think with the size of the PPV. having a Celeb there facing off with a Superstar would have been triggered already. A twitter Fued is far from it. You want a Scoop. Look for the Diva Revolution Match and a Divas Championship match to occupy two diffrent spots on the card. not from a source. its something you can see with your own two eyes by watching RAW. Although The Barclay Center isnt that Far from where Sting will be. so a Cameo could happen

I'm fine with that. Besides Taker, I don't think there's anyone on the roster if like Sting to face at Summerslam.

For the record, I never understood why Sting would team with Ambrose and Reigns, either. But the fact remains that having Sting compete at SummerSlam would've still created more hype for the PPV because he's a big name to attract interest. I can't see there being a great deal of interest in the show now outside of Taker vs. Lesnar.

Wfigs complains when WWE relies on older talent. Wfigs complains when WWE doesn't rely on older talent.
It is what it is. I'll be watching regardless of whether Sting is wrestling or not.
