But Bryan's spot was originally supposed to go to Bourne, but then he got injured, so were they gonna turn him gay? Or is it just a Bryan thing? Man, and the whole Kalisto Gay Barber thing too(which I'm not sure if that was just a dirt sheet rumor).

Well, Brock doesn't like gay people so I can't imagine it went over well with him.

This was supposedly not even a true report. Somebody thought it up but it was shot down immediately. It was never even brought to the table as a possibility.

i can't even imagine lesnar pulling that off. the guy seemed uncomfortable in his character, particularly in his first run, and camera shy. that character would've required some charisma to pull off. lesnar is many things but a great talker is not one of them. Why does it need more charisma than any other person? Are we being that stereotypical of gayness? Holy 5hit, seriously? What the ...

I love how everyone is saying it would have been awful if it did. Why? As if gay people need to act a certain way? What's the big deal?

Seth Mates shot this down
Between this and the Fred Durst story, there sure is a lot of bogus garbage making the rounds this week.
If only the Piper news was also BS.

Imagine if Doink's gimmick was that he was a clown, but he didn't do anything clownish, he just wrestled in normal gear and the commentators talked about him being a clown. So stupid and pointless. Or Bossman just being a wrestler guy but occasionally in a promo saying "I'm a prison guard."
If you're gonna have a gimmick, have the gimmick. Don't do a quarter-assed version of it just to get good press.

I don't buy it. Tell me exactly what would have been required for him to "act gay"?

I get what you're saying, but if WWE's gonna have a character who identifies as gay. He should just be that and also have a gimmick (or not) on top of that. WWE should have characters who appeal to all demographics, gay or lesbian included. But that doesn't mean they need to be Rico or TNA's Orlando Jordan if they're gay.
