So a while back I made a post asking folks the longest they'd gone without sleeping. I went like five days in late 2014.
To follow that up, what's the longest you've gone without eating? This one I've actually not done much with, I think there have been definitely days where I didn't eat until like 6 or 7 PM, but never a day or several days.

I went a week. Was really sick and could only keep down water. Not good. By the time I got in to see the doctor I had gone from 260 to 220 (water weight), wasn't pretty at all man.

Recently it was two days but back in 2013 I did a 10 day juice cleanse inspired by some documentary I saw on Netflix. I was never overweight but i'm kind of a health freak. Needless to say it was torture and it didn't really help me with what I was hoping it would. (allergies)

When I was 10 I became very ill for several months. I didnt eat for at least 3 months and had to be constantly hooked up to an IV to stay hydrated and get nutrition. I almost died, I remember being on my couch watching George Carlin with my dad and I woke up 4 days later in the hospital and a doctor telling my parents I was so close to death he was surprised I survived.
I aparently went sceptic due to literally being full of crap.

A few days when I was sick. high fever, swollen tonsils, really sore throat. It was actually three different times of being sick throughout march april and may. I ended up losing like 7 pounds, lol.

For the last 10 years, 4 hours max and I'm pissed lol. I take meals with me everywhere so that ii can always eat. I'm starving after 3 hours of not eating so typicality I eat every 2-3 hours.
Unless you count while sleeping, then 8 hours.

my teen years were a rough time - it's not that i didn't eat on a specific day, but i ate so little each day that overall i ate in a month what i should've been eating in a week. starved myself for years, realized tobacco was having a massive effect on me and managed to quit. literally as soon as i quit tobacco the weight gain/natural appetite started and i haven't looked back since.
the trauma from going without food as a teenager for extended periods of time has conditioned me to always connect the feeling of hunger with depression, and i have a bad habit of just wanting to 'give up on food' when i'm stressed, but i am becoming better over time at controlling it and making sure i eat each day. my band is playing a show tomorrow night, and i always get pretty nervous before that goes down so today is one of those days i have to make sure i eat a good amount or i'll just be a waste tomorrow.

I usually go all day without eating if I work nights. I'll get home around 11PM and then finally eat something. If I work earlier I'll eat whenever I get home. Never eat breakfast or lunch.
Recently I went through a ton of stress , there were twoseperate occasions in a months time where we thought we were gonna lose my cat who means the world to me. And I couldn't eat or sleep.
Then I'm sure most of us have fallen ill and not been able to eat for a couple days. I know it's happened to me quite a few times.
What is the amount of time the body can go without food anyway?

I usually eat 3 square meals and don't snack in between. But there have been times when I'm depressed where I haven't eaten for a few days at a time.

I drank some bad orange juice and got really sick. I honestly don't what what was in the juice as I just bought it off the store. Anyways I went 2 days without eating anything at all.
