I don't even feel like I have enough time to type out a long, well-thought-out description of what's going on, but on-again, off-again WFer Double J's dog is having issues and requires surgery as soon as possible, but the money isn't there to take care of it themselves, so I am personally asking you to at least spread the word around to get more eyeballs reading the GFM page in an attempt to rectify this in time. He and I have done everything we could to raise the money necessary via social media, and I'm hoping the powers of WF will come through in a big way. I can't really speak to if this is allowed on here or not, which is sad considering I'm an admin but I'll let Jack Specific make the judgement call because I don't want you to get into trouble. But JJ's one hell of a guy, as are you, so I'll at least share the link on my FB and Twitter. I simply don't have the money to donate, I'm a Ramen college student but even if this gets locked I can at least get the word out because I don't think anyone can fault the cause, regardless of specific forum rules. If it can't be on here then so be it but I'll do my part to help a good cause for a good person. |

I don't think it's a personal thing, I think if anyone could help anyone, they would. I just don't know RSC's rules about this kind of stuff. It's not really advertising so worst case it gets locked, but it's a friend trying to help a friend in need for a good cause. No matter what happens to the thread, no one will fault for trying. It shows character and that you, and JJ are good people. |

JJ is a personal friend and has been a pillar of the WF community for a decade. If anyone can help I appreciate it. I can attest that this is real and for a legitimate cause.

I don't know if its of any help, but when my cat recently had to get surgery I signed up for a credit card that's specifically for pet/medical bills. Of course its never ideal to take on more debt.. But they have a lot of offers, like all credit cards, some are 12 months no interest which is really helpful. You might check it out if you haven't already, its carecredit.com . I hope you reach your full goal and won't need to consider something like that!

I am keeping that option in my back pocket. I have enough debt from my own recent medical issues myself that I'm not even ENTIRELY sure I'd be approved for any more credit.

So sorry this is happening to you. You may want to try and reach out to the animal rescue community in your area, as around here, they do it this way. I would start with animal advocates that you know, then reach out to the no kill rescues in your area. It may work. The community is very large, and very generous, when they can. They may even have other resources to help you. God's speed to the little one.
