I used to love Barrett. Stripping him of the Bad News gimmick killed him for me.

I have said this before.....but to hell with it I'm gonna say it again......Sheamus and Barrett should have been recruited as the muscle of the Authority instead of the effin Big Show. Kane has a role.....but Sheamus and barrett should have been tidied up(shaved etc) put in suits and made HHHs "guys" Barrett in particular could have benefited from this. Is the Big Show still even in the Authority?
Anyway muscle in the Authority is about the only thing Barrett could do which would make him remotely interesting.

He's just soooo overrated IMO. He doesn't do anything to capture my attention and is annoying.

He's too busy making cameos in Total Divas while Alicia Fox pines over him to do anything worthwhile.

I don't know what the deal is with Barrett. I don't think it's ever going to happen with him. I'd like at least to see him in a proper storyline though.

To be honest, I don't think WWE even knows what to do with him

They're wasting his time, quite frankly.

I thought he was doing a really great job before the King Barrett nonsense.....I'm not sure who thought this was a good idea.
Look at what happened to Barrett and Sheamus as King of the Ring....from now on I don't think anybody should want this tournament to return, because whoever wins it, it's almost like punishment,

He is pretty stale at the moment. I can't see him advancing much more than mid-card.

And Cena is a big problem too, but thats something I've wrote about a bunch here; simply put he's a cancer that is killing so many careers because he's too stubborn to take a back seat - Austin did it in 2002, Michaels did it pretty much since he came back in 2002, Orton's started to do it, Jericho done it, , HULK HOGAN did it after Mania X8!! When did Jericho not take a back seat? 2008? If so, you're highly mistaken. As far as Barrett goes, his career will be known as one of the biggest flops in WWE history. He should be THE top heel in the company. It's a shame. The whole Bad News Barrett was a great mid card gimmick that could've jump started his career back into the main event scene. Obviously dropping the Bad News character when he reached main event level again. King of the Ring gimmicks are just dumb. The last memorable KOTR gimmick was King Booker. The rest have been sh*t. The tournament means nothing anymore. Frankly, Barrett winning KOTR hurt him more rather than helping him. Who knows, winning KOTR could've and should've boosted Barrett back into the main event scene again, but poor booking stopped that to a quick hault.

Barrett has been dead in the water since Summerslam 2010. I've said that many times before, and I still believe it to be true.
The only time anyone in the general audience gave a crap about him after that debacle was when he was injured doing the BNB gimmick. Instead of running with that and trying to salvage whatever he had left, they watered him down, and turned him into "King." It was stupid, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the final straw in his immensely disappointing WWE career.

He should be being pushed not losing then winning to R-Truth. I hope him and / or Neville becomes WWE WHC Champion one day to make us in England proud. Barrett looks weak at the moment, Neville is just up, down, up, down. He should still be called Bad News Barrett not King Barrett.

Absolutely sod all! Bring back the 'Bad News Barrett' gimmick, he was over af with that. Whilst he's not a technical marvel, he's very solid and could be an asset to the main event scene. I used to love Barrett. Stripping him of the Bad News gimmick killed him for me. Exactly. He was even told to stop doing the "I'm afraid I've got some bad news" act, by the "powers that be", because it was getting too popular and getting him too over. Also, can someone explain how he's "injury prone"? To my knowledge, he's had two injuries - one where someone landed on his ing arm in the MITB match, and one when Swagger threw him into a barricade and ed up his shoulder. To say they've "dropped the ball", with Barrett, is an understatement. Like his fellow compatriots, Paul Burchill, Katie Lea, Steve Lewington, Regal and even Davey Boy, before him, he's been wasted or not used to his full potential. Look at the way they discarded Ken 'Bram' Cameron - one of the best things in TNA currently, and scrapped Hade Vansen after one vignette. Englishmen just don't get to the top in this company. Neville looks like he might be the one to buck this trend, but he'll probably end up the same way as all the others. As for Barrett not having "IT", it was clear he had "IT" the second he stepped on screen in 2010 as Jericho's protege. Never saw his appeal. Dont think he has "it" Then you clearly have no idea what "IT" is.

I don't give a damn that he was new.
