Continuing my trend on all things 80s, its no surprise im a big fan of music from the same era. I have noticed this genre of music is really popular in Scandanavia regions such as Sweden, Norway etc. One such band is called Brother Firetribe, I recently heard this song from their latest album, its a revamp of a song from an 80s movie starring Sylvester Stallone, "Over the Top". Really fun arm wrestling movie. Anyway heres the song, I just thought it was worth a listen and maybe some people here that are from Sweden or nearby countries could expand on just how popular melodic rock is in this part of the world. Theres loads of bands coming out of this region inspired by 80s rock and Id like to know just how popular it is. The whole album is worth a listen, great power chords and chorus hooks, real catchy stuff.

Europe in general is just really big on metal in any form. Look at the line up to Wacken in Germany. It's anything from extreme metal to this style of modern butt rock. There's been bands out of Germany doing this for a good chunk of time. Ghost is the best example for Sweden, using that goth hard rock style to present this idea of an Satanic type church, but to most metal fans it's basically radio rock.
