There are not many surprises left in terms of Flashback / Legends Elite figures with 4 months to of go till 2016. I figured I would take a look at what we got and what is yet to come. This will only cover the Elite Flashback/Legends and not Basic's, sorry for you basic collectors out there.
Just so there is no confusion, the last Flashbacks/Legends of 2014 were Elite 33 and the DM Hulk Hogan "I got this from Ringside in December and the box says 2014, so DM Hogan is a 2014 figure. same goes for the HOF series 1 set, that was a December 2014 release as well.
Here we go:
1. Razor Ramon - Defining Moments First time in the line 2. Undertaker - WM31 Elite Flashback 3. Kane - WM31 Elite Flashback 4. Doink - Elite 34 First time in the line 5. Earthquake - Elite 35 First time in the line 6. DDP - Elite 36 7. Dean Malenko - Elite 37 First time in the line 8. Sting - Defining Moments First time in the line 9. Hulk Hogan - HOF 2 10. Eddie Gureareo - HOF 2 11. Yokozuna - HOF 2 12. Tito Santana - HOF 2 First time in the line 13. Ric Flair - HOF box set 14. Arn Anderson - HOF box set 15. Tully Blanchard - HOF box set 16. Barry Windham - HOF box set First time in the line 17. Hulk Hogan - RSC Exclusive 18. HBK - RSC Exclusive
Upcoming: 19. Farooq - Elite 38 First time in the line 20. Bradshaw - Elite 38 21. Randy Savage - Elite 38 22. Undertaker - Defining Moments 23. Scott Hall - RSC Exclusive 24. Ted Dibeasie - HOF 3 25. Jimmy Hart - HOF 3 First time in the line 26. John Cena - Flashback "have no clue how this will be sold? but it was in package at SDCC so its coming this year 27. to be confirmed - HOF 3 28. to be confirmed - HOF 3 29. to be confirmed - Elite 39 Flashback
- in 2015 aside from Elite 38, all Elite series have had only one flashback, so I am assuming that Elite 39 will have only one flashback as well. Maybe Bulldog?
- I did did not include Paul Bearer BAF, as regardless if hit the US or not the figure did come out last year.
- With the Hogan fiasco, I am pretty sure the last DM figure to be delayed until early 2016 so its not on there.
- My Top 5 are Earthquake, Sting, Razor, HOF Hogan and HBK
- My Bottom 3: DM Undertaker, DDP, Scott Hall "all 3 are a product of laziness" - Out of the list above 9 Legends are first time in the line, 10 if you count M$M as a first time in Elite form. - Hogan, Hall, and Taker have the most Elite Flashback figures in 2015 with 2 each.
- 2015 is the first year with no Warrior Elite "HOF 1 figure was 2014". As an apology MDT will give Warrior fans 2 in 2016.
What do you think of the line up above? Do you think this year was better than previous years for Elite Flashback collectors?
I ll update this thread with some pics soon, as I have almost all. I just passed on DDP and will pass on DM Undertaker as well.

I didn't mind the DDP as the DDP was a replacement for the IRS and basically just a repeat production so I'm okay with that and I'm pretty excited about this next coming year I'm pretty sure there's some people we're not going to be expecting that we're going to get

I didn't mind DDP either, since A. I just got back into collecting months ago and B. Mattel's been on a WCW streak lately with their flashbacks (DM Sting, E37 Malenko, E38 Macho Man, HoF 2 Hogan can be used for a pre-nWo WCW Hogan). Same goes for DM Undertaker, since I missed out on the SDCC runoff and the no pupil look isn't my favorite look. Both look like solid figures, though I would prefer IRS to DDP when all is said and done.
My favorite Flashback, excluding DMs, would have to be Doink or RSC HBK. They got all of the details right on both of them and honestly they are the only figures I'd consider paying scalper prices for, at least released this year. Least favorite would be Malenko, not because he's bad, but because I never was a huge fan of his in WCW or WWF. In terms of execution, I'm not too excited for RSC Scott Hall. I would have greatly preferred Hollywood Hogan if any nWo figures were to be made, and I'm perfectly happy with Razor (Probably my pick for best Flashback including DMs)

If we are saying that E33 and dm hogan and hof1 are all in 2014..., because I too got them in December...... It took until late April to finally get E34 Doink, a figure I didn't even want even though it turned out to be a great figure. During the wait the wrestlemania elites Kane and undertaker came out. Those are both disappointments. Also dm razor which I don't love.
Then rsc Hbk and earthquake saved my life. Those are two of my favorite figures ever. Hof2 was a huge home run for me, including the horsemen set. And dm sting is one of the best mattels ever!
Then E36 DDP was a big disappointment. As was the dm taker reveal. E37 had only Dean Malenko which I didn't want, but turned out fantastic. And then word that dm Hollywood would be cancelled, ugh. E38 farooq is just bad, and I really wanted farooq. E38 macho man is good for me, I love almost any macho man. And rsc Scott hall is a big want of mine, it looks great. I'm very happy to get bulldog, godfather and irs along with Jimmy hart and million dollar man. They all looked good to me.
Hard to say overall,......the year has been full of so many highs and lows for me. Bill said that most of what he was looking forward to was coming later in 2016 and wouldn't be ready to show at sdcc so I'm optimistic. Hollywood coming still would have made the year seem much brighter.

if they did not cheap out on Undertakers tie, it would been a very acceptable figure.

if they did not cheap out on Undertakers tie, it would been a very acceptable figure. Agreed. Because then I would leave it moc and it would look sweet but when opened the coat is too stiff and the head looks weird without the hat.

I agree it does look odd without the tie as I do like my Jakks Takers due to being complete looking...

I really like the WM Undertaker. That head scan was only used with the Entrance Greats Taker, it's repainted but the same sculpt. And it's the best/only sculpt of early 91-92 Taker Mattel made. Plus I love early Taker. I also am in the minority of liking the hard rubber coat vs. the Entrance Greats because I think the EG coat looks shoddy and is pleather, and Takers old coat at that time was NOT leather so it's way off.
Razor and HBK are the standouts to me. Sting is cool but I didn't care about Crow Sting so I passed, but it's really cool for those who like that era. Doink, Quake and Dean are also cool not just because they're well done but because I was surprised by all 3 getting releases.

I actually prefer the entrance great head, but like you I don't mind the rubber coat. I think your the first person on I come across on here that passed on DM Sting.

Doink and RSC HBK are two of the best figures Mattel has done (little biased because I'm a New Gen guy)
HOF 2 including the Horseman was also a killer set
And the big burst of WCW Flashback talent was awesome, including Malenko who I can't wait to get my hands on
My biggest grudge is with DM Razor Ramon. I'm a huge Razor fan, but I can't buy this thing. Along with the upcoming RSC Scot Hall, it's plagued with tiny proportions, and that awful looking chest forest. It completely ruins the figure, and it ruins the RSC Scott Hall.
And while on the topic of DMs, how the hell did Hogan and Razor cost the same to produce as Flair?

Annoyed with the fact that Ted DiBiase and Jimmy Hart are part of the HOF series. It just makes them a pain in the ass to buy if it's exclusive to certain stores. I don't think they are even sold in the UK.

I think it was the eyes and skin tone is what throw me off. the EG is way darker skin tone with yellow greenish eyes for some reason.
