Many months ago, I made a thread about my fear of driving.
Today, I am here to tell you I have started driving more! I started college last week and I go twice a week. I drive there and back.
I feel much more confident on the road, I just hate switching lanes and I'm yet to be on the freeway. Hope to have my license soon!!

That is great news.
Eventually you will get more confident so good luck.

Glad to hear it. Please be careful. You can be the safest driver in the world, but there will always be that distracted driver who ruins everyone's day at some point.
And please be careful when changing lanes. Look out for motorcyclists.

When on the road, always assume you're surrounded by idiots because you usually are.

Nice man, the only way you get rid of that fear is just by driving more. Glad to hear your doing better and being safe!

Don't sweat it. I think pretty much everyone is afraid when they start driving. That being said, I couldn't imagine learning how to drive with all the bungholes on the road right now...so my hat's off to you. Remember, you have to "drive for other people on the road". A lot of them aren't paying attention anymore...so pay attention for them. That'll keep you safe.

Definitely be careful on the interstate. That's where I do all of my reading.

I've had my driving permit since May. Still haven't driven on the interstate. I just don't feel safe around people I can't cotrol

You'll get better without realizing it.

My first day of driving my instructor made me go on the interstate. I was so scared.
It really doesn't take long to get used to driving if you do it often. I practiced a lot on country roads.

Glad you're getting the hang of it. I started earlier this year and I still only have my permit. I'm just a very nervous person, so driving freaks me out, but I've been getting better at it with practice. I don't even freak out on the interstate anymore.

Keep at it! Just got my license after years of being terrified of driving, now its so easy for me. It took me a few months to finally get there but its totally worth it.

It's all about practise. Driving next to a semi-truck on the highway used to be my biggest fear in life. Now I can drive in between two with no problem. Just watch for idiots and black ice in the winter. I know you can't actually "watch" for it, just be cautious. And if you ever skid on ice TURN INTO THE SKID. I know it's counterintuitive, but it's the only way to keep control of the car.

I just hate that in my state, driving a cycle without a helmet is legal.
