Then Ric Flair has some company at the top right?
2x NWA World Champion 2x WCW International Champion 6x WCW World Champion 4x TNA World Champion 1x WWA World Champion
Have we been so worried about Cena tying Flair that we have forgotten about Sting?

No, because 5 of those World Title's don't count.
The NWA Title reign in TNA, and the TNA Title reigns won't be recognized by WWE. According to the WWE, once WCW died Sting just went away for 14 years and showed up on WWE.

That is an interesting point, but I don't believe they will recognize TNA world title reigns.

At their return, didn't the WWE count the Dudley Boyz Tag Team Championship Title reigns from TNA??

At their return, didn't the WWE count the Dudley Boyz Tag Team Championship Title reigns from TNA?? No I don't think so. I think they only count WWE/WCW titles, not ECW or TNA. Otherwise I think they would be in the 20s. Also, some of Flair's reigns aren't counted, although I have heard that he considers himself a 21 time world champ. Article here

Article hereWhen they returned JBL acknowledged them as 24 time World Tag Team Champions. And when Sting debuted JBL also called him a two time NWA World Champion, referring to their reigns in TNA.

After Sting made Rollins tap, I don't think the chances of him winning at NOC are good at all.
Sucks.

Ever since then I have hope that if a challenger looks strong going in he still has a chance of winning. Even if Sheamus cashes in afterwards.

Flair is actually a 24 time world champion, but only sixteen of them are recognised by WWE as being real world titles. Those being NWA/WCW titles (and WWF of course).
Sting's a six time world champion according to their recent "interesting facts" article they had on the homepage about him.

Eh...it won't happen. As huge as my blind loyalty to Sting is, he won't win. It'd be nice. But it won't happen. Even if he does have burnt orange Nicolas Cage hair now.

I'm still baffled at people wanting Sting to win. It makes as much sense as The Rock winning back at Rumble 13.

Seth's been booked as the weakest champion I've ever personally seen.
He's the anti-2003 HHH. At this point, I don't care how his reign ends, I just want a face champion.

And Seth is not a weak champion! He has been fantastic. Coward heel champion that needs help retaining the title is wrestling 101.

I didn't say that he wasn't what they're booking him as, they are indeed booking him as a guy who can't get the job done without help. Still, I can't remember the last time we had a long non-Cena face title run. I feel it's much easier to write for a heel champion and someone chasing the title than the other way around, so that may be part of the reason.

WWE isn't going to acknowledge anything from TNA. But aren't there some of Flair's Title runs that WWE doesn't aknowledge? I though the had 20something World Titles, but WWE only counts 16.
But yeah, IF Sting wins the WWE World Title on Sunday, TECHNICALLY he will have 16, but there's no way WWE ackowledges it. They are just waiting for the day they can make it be John Cena to tie and break the record.

Flair himself supposedly claims to be a 21 time World Champion.
