I'm going to not be selfish and hope this match doesn't take place. With what's happened to Sting a few days ago and Austin's neck - I'd rather he not risk it. Imagine if he suffers worse than Sting mid-match? I doubt WWE or Austin would want to risk that.
Could it happen? Yes. Would I like to see it happen? Yes, partially but Austin's not in his prime, so no. Will it happen? I highly doubt it.

I think you're absolutely correct about Lesnar/Taker at Hell in a Cell not being the original plan.
I don't, however, think it has anything to do with Austin or potential plans they have for Brock at Wrestlemania. Instead, I think it has everything to do with Vince pushing the "panic" button after seeing ratings the last three weeks. That explains away the rushed nature of the promo and the lack of focus on the match this past Monday - they simply weren't ready for it (or Vince thinks it just sells itself.)
If Austin were going to work a match (and that's a monstrous if), Brock Lesnar seems like a very, very poor choice from a style perspective. Brock is a safe worker, but his style very specifically focuses on Austin's problem areas. Fans are going to expect to go into that match and want Lesnar to unleash Suplex City, and Austin, knowing how desire to please an audience, is probably going to give it to them. That's not good.
Not to mention, Sting's injury has to weigh heavily on not only older talent, but WWE as well. They don't want that to happen again.
My prediction? They have absolutely no idea what they're doing with Brock or Taker at Wrestlemania at this point in time. They're booking night to night, week to week, not long-term.

My guess is we'll get Brock vs Rock. The T shirt sales are too good for Vince to pass up.

It would be an awesome match, so long that Austin is ring ready and physically fit. Your thoughts add up, hadn't personally thought of it the way you put it. Really hoping it happens!

If Austin can go it's gotta be Cena vs Austin

If Austin can go it's gotta be Cena vs Austin Idk why everyone thinks Cena v. Austin would ever happen if Austin comes back. There is literally no basis for a feud. Cena is booked as the ultimate face and they aren't going to turn Cena heel to face Austin. Honestly if Austin comes back, Lesnar is the only logical choice. Lesnar has destroyed everyone already and nobody on the roster looks to be a threat. Austin had legit real life beef with Brock which is well documented. And I am positive when Austin said himself his neck is fine, he would be ok to take a couple suplexes. If they book Austin/Brock i would definitely fly to Dallas and drain my savings

I don't think Lesnar vs. Austin is a good idea, all it takes is one bad german suplex to physically injure Austin with his bad neck.

If Seth Rollins remains a heel I could see Austin facing him. It would be much better on Austin's body and it would make sense. Rollins is a pro authority guy and Austin is the anti authority guy. I see Seth turning face and feuding with HHH but in case he doesn't, I think that Rollins vs Austin would be decent.

If Austin ever returns it will most likely be against Brock but I don't think he'll ever wrestle again. Even if he did wrestle again, would it actually be something I'd want to see. Sure we'd all get a big nostalgia pop but remember how awful Bret vs Vince was.

Austin would be a goldmine.... there are plenty of ways they could set it up. It would be a modern-day Hogan VS. Warrior..... Rock VS. Hogan.... old VS. new.... In my book, Austin/Cena is where the money's at....

From the way Austin talks it feels like he still wants one more match.. and maybe he wants to make good on doing a job for Brock, bust as others have stated; I'd be worried about him. Brock's Germans just seem too brutal (especially when he releases mid-flight).

I don't see Austin ever competing again, to be honest.

Austin as special ref. And a lil conflict with brock is the most I see happening physically for Austin.

No way is it happening. Stone cold can't wrestle anymore, imagine how hurt he would get in the match and Lesnar is stiff anyway

Nope. I fully expect Brock to win the Rumble and finally get his hands on Rollins with no shenanigans at Mania.
Austin will never wrestle again.
