Hey, I'm from the UK and over here none of the figures are on offer, even basics are 10 pounds So I'm just wondering if there is a place I can go that sells for under 10 pounds. Thanks :-)

In the last probably 5 years us poor Aussies have had 1 elite. That being Defining moments Razor. He sells for $40. So while not more expensive then what u guys pay, probably on par I would say. I think pretty much outside the U.S. we get hit pretty hard for figures. If I pay @ or less then $40 per figure from bay or RSC (converted to AU) I'm very happy. But usually right at $50 is what I have to pay by the time shipping comes in.

Market sales. If you've got an area where they sell old toys & other things that'll be your best bet.

The figures themselves are cheaper but factor in shipping and customs and then not so much.

The other u can do, or at least if u have the means. Is hold off until u can get a bunch of figures u want and buy in bulk. I try to do this. I tend to only buy 10-12 figures at a time. This tends to bring the $ per figure down, as shipping gets cheaper and cheaper.
I am also very fortunate to be in position where I can travel to US (occasionally). My girl and I are heading to the states again in Nov. Going to be there for thanksgiving and beyond which means we will be there for Black Friday. I have missed figures going back to e34, so I'm hoping I can get a bunch of figures through e38-e39. Of course this depends on your age and of course ur means. Lots of overtime at my job, and I have a pretty good gov job (again I am very lucky) but it does save a bunch $$$ for me.

When I decided to collect loose about 11 months ago, I just bought as many collections as I could to start me off. You can get large bundles of basics on ebay for 2-3 quid a figure, and occasionally you will get some nice Elites in there as well.
I'm now at a point where I have 400-500 loose, and I'm going to start offloading the MOC equivalents.

We're pretty lucky in the UK when it comes to the availability of figures... Flashbacks, Divas, short-packed figures etc. are usually pretty easy to find. They are quite expensive though, compared to the US (...if I hear one more person complain about the $USD price of an Elite or Battlepack...!! ). Argos always has a 2 for £15 offer on Basic figures... you'll have to have a customer-view though to see what figures they have in stock (it can vary greatly!). There's also Smyths, who often reduce figures (especially the less-popular ones or ones they have loads of)... I know the Basic 48 Hogan is currently £7.99 because I've just bought a few(!) - and sometimes they reduce them to £4.99 and even £1 (...Ricky Steamboat, Cesaro...). Your best bet is probably to keep an eye on the Figure Findings thread in the UK section...
