If you order one you're fine, bulk orders are more likely to be charged. ...yeah, I've found that to be the case too when ordering from RSC - one figure is fine (they usually under-declare it too), but 2 or more and you're nearly always stung by Customs. It's weird though - from other places, it really seems to be 50/50.

If your ordering 1 figure. Exmaple: RSC Scott Hall......with the 10% code you still looking figure + shipping £32ish depending on rate at the time. Theres places to get the figure for £38 in the UK. So if you miss the charges your winning if you get stuck your losing. It really is swings and roundabouts with 1 figure purchases. If your getting 2 or 3 then its worth ordering and taking a chance on no fees.

I ordered the modern cage, barricades and a set of red ropes last week. It's being held because of the charge so I won't get anything until I pay some extortionate fee. One tip - don't order from Ringside. The Yanks have got it made over there.

All I've been told is that they won't deliver it until I pay it. Hopefully postman today comes round with a card or something.

You should get a card through the post.
I bet you're looking at about £30-£40 customs fee in total unfortunately.

Yeah man, Ringside is a bit of a joke Their postage system is outrageous (IE: I refuse to believe that it costs as much as they charge to post items), then, they don't pre-calculate the customs charge (something a lot of companies do, and you'd think they would given how much international business they must get), which means YOU get hit with an £8 handling fee before you even get hit by customs
Nope, not on my watch

What a complete ing joke. Will never order from Ringside again. ...didn't you factor-in the customs charge + handling fee beforehand? (...I don't mean that in a dick-ish way...). It's just - that's what always puts me off ordering anything more than one figure from RSC - apart from the ridiculous postage costs, it's always charged by customs too (when a lot of other large US parcels/packages aren't). For all their faults, this is where we could really do with someone like Wrestling World...

So the Cage + Barricades + Ropes have cost £31.44 in import fees. Thought it would be worse, honestly. It's still about £100 just for shipping though. I think eBay might be a better option with the guaranteed customs paid etc.

It's about £65 on eBay for the Modern one with Customs included, but no RSC ring skirt exclusive if that matters. Still, this is the only time I'm ordering something more than a figure from there.

Still, this is the only time I'm ordering something more than a figure from there. I'll be using a custom ring skirt, so that wouldn't bother me too much. And yeah, I usually only buy 1-2 figures at a time from RSC. I can't fault their customer service though, it's top notch.

I remember a couple of months ago that the guy from Ringside Collectibles said that if we could come up with a cheaper system for shipping to the UK they'd look into it. So here's your opportunity. Get researching

Get researching I actually did do a bit of research at the time. It seems USPS set up these charges for businesses because they post large amounts of goods, and it depends on the weight/size of the packages.

No cheaper alternatives then? At the moment, no. I did come across a "middle man" service called myUS. Take a look at it and see what you think.
