As stated in the title, this is just meant for some silly, harmless fun, so there is no reason to take this seriously. I thought after all of the criticism thrown Bill's way recently, this might be a lighthearted way for some people to realize how lucky we really are to have him and Mattel designing our current WWE figures. This is not in any way, shape or form meant to turn into any serious debate about Mattel vs Jakks (because it isn't fair to compare then vs now considering the different circumstances) but is instead meant to be a silly thread about what our current figures would potentially look like in 2015 if Jakks had kept the license and never changed their style.
I was just being goofy with PS and decided to put together prototypes of what I believe a current 2015 lineup would look like for us if we still had Jakks making our figures rather than MattelDesignTeam. Obviously I was being a tad bit dramatic but I came up with this lol:
If we hadn't have been treated so well with great figures over the years since Mattel took over, we would most likely still be settling for awful body molds, all of our figs would be the same height (including El Torito and Big Show) and what little paint apps that are shown in studio prototypes would be long gone once the figures actually hit retail.
....How do those E39 protos look now? Lol.
If you know how to use Photoshop or Paint, feel free to throw together your own version of a 2015 Jakks fig for fun! Also feel free to reply with anything you believe Jakks would screw up such as having El Torito the same height as Kane and Big Show. If someone wants to move it to the Jakks section or lock it completely, feel free as I understand this thread doesn't offer too much in the way of forum discussion but hopefully gives a few people a good laugh and maybe helps others appreciate their Mattel figures a little more.
EDIT - requests:
The Bunny: This is how I envision Jakks would do The Bunny with the unpainted wrist tape mold and all.
Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns:
Braun Strowman:
Michael Cole in Ring Gear / Current Michael Cole vs. Brock Lesnar Adrenaline 2-pack:
Update 10/7: The next RA set will hit by Christmas including the first ever Finn Balor figure!
