MADNESS_NH_97, I'm going to move this to the classic board. As for the video... I do not think Goldberg debuting as a heel would have worked. First Goldberg threw a fit when wCw made him heel. And quickly made them change him back. He went into WWE with a chip on his shoulder and this would have further elevated it. Second, fans loved any wCw talent debuting in WWE. Fans would have likely cheered him anyhow. And I see no scenario where WWE would have let him defeat Undertaker. See DDP. Third, there is no way Goldberg would tap out to end his WWE career. I don't remember him ever tapping out, and I don't think his ego would have allowed it. IMO I think the problem Goldberg was that he believed in his own hype a bit too much. He had the size. The look. And the ability. But he was incredibly short sighted. IMO that is what hindered what could have been a fantastic career.

WCW booked him like he was the greatest thing ever in the ring. Really in WCW he was one dimensional, and when WWE wouldn't book him the same way he was in WCW, he got pissed. I mean for God's sake, he debuted by destroying the Rock, and having two PPV victories over Triple H during an era where Triple H wasn't exactly loosing left and right. Oh, but he didn't come in, have another winning streak, and destroy every single person he faced in his entire run, so obviously, it was a giant failure.

there were a couple of bumps for Goldberg in WWE
1) Jericho.....ol Chris mysteriously forgot how to be a heel during his feud with Bill and continually played to the crowd......it started things out poorly for Bill with a divided crowd.
2) He should have beaten the tar out of HHH during the EC @ Summerslam 2003. Not winning here I feel derailed any momentum he had. Annoys me weekly that an injured HHH retained.

The WWE was doomed no matter what with Goldberg.
To me, the only thing that made him interesting was his undefeated streak in WCW. And coming to the WWE you can't have him do that all over again. It just wouldn't make sense for one, and the excitement of it would be over with before it even started.
Goldberg was brought in, so Triple H could beat another WCW guy (like he did with Steiner, Booker T, and recently with Sting) to show he is the man and WCW was nothing. The fact that he lost so many times to Chris Benoit in 2004 still astonishes me, because I figured to them he was a WCW guy. But maybe because he gave up the WCW Title and pretty much crapped on that federation is why he was allowed wins over the WWE's golden child.
