Would like some SERIOUS opinions in this topic please, not just jokes: What do people think about the idea of Mattel occassionally making a few "Wrestlecrap" style flashback figures?Not necessarily in the Elite line, could be basics or some other more limited release method. And for the uninitiated, "wrestlecrap" basically means characters or storylines that are remembered for being particularly bad or goofy. For example, The Yeti in WCW. Personally I would love to see some wrestlecrap flashbacks, some stuff that's remembered for being bad or goofy would be a welcome addition to my collection, adds variety and I would enjoy revisiting and celebrating the memories. Probably wouldn't happen but hey, Jakks made the Shockmaster. |

Some of my top wants are "wrestle crap". Bastian Booger, Mantuar, Aldo Montoya, Nailz, Repo Man, Glacier, Giant Gonzales etc. Pretty much into cheesy gimmicks. I loved jakks for their willingness to produce such figures. With mattels quality I think most would be spectacular! I'm all for a few releases a year or exclusives.

I'm usually okay with first time in the line characters, but I'd prefer if they stay away from "wrestlecrap" worthy figures. One of the things that I love about my wrestling figure collection is that it celebrates the glory of pro wrestling. By adding wrestlecrap characters to it, it just opens it up to even more jokes about pro wrestling, which I hear enough of the way it is.

You can recreate Earthquake sitting on Damien and killing him with his Elite figure. In all seriousness, it sounds like a fun idea, but the figures wont sell for a number of reasons.
