So earlier I bought a Piper figure off eBay and the seller claims it's an Entrance Greats version, which I mainly bought for the shirt and kilt to put on an elite Piper. However I'm wondering if I lucked out and got an elite with the outfit already. There's two reasons why I think so: 1. The headscan, which I know was used on the T-Shirt series Piper, but why would someone put the EG shirt on a T-Shirt series figure? Which leads me to: 2. The feet position. In the pic, the feet are pretty close together and not like a Basic. I know they have articulation at the top of the boot, but the basics I have never had them this close together. Here's a pic for your viewing pleasure:  I could be dead wrong here, but I was hoping someone out there knew a little more than I do, and I suppose I'll soon find out. |

That's a basic man, the elite has ab crunch and more articulation that a basic doesn't

It could well be a basic with the elite head and the legs smushed together. Although the elite Piper is/was very plentiful and cheap online so you may be lucky there. I still would really like them to do an elite with the long hair and the black Hot Rod shirt.

If it is a headswap, I have to ask why someone would do it. The EG sculpt I thought was a better one compared to the elite. Having a few basics, the closest to this kind of positioning I have is Jake The Snake from the Ambrose BP and I couldn't get it in the same position completely.
In either case, I'll be happy to have a Hot Rod, but an elite would make my day.

Or they put the eg head (and possibly the lower legs) on the TShirt figure and the TShirt head (& lower legs) on the EG body. The TShirt figure has the crappy head in the pic and no socks...so many did part swaps to make the TShirt figure as accurate as possible.

Makes sense. Like I said, I always preferred the EG scan over this one, so it'd make sense if someone put that head on the elite body. Even then, regardless, I bought it for the shirt and kilt anyway. If I have to go out and get an elite or parts to kit bash one together, so be it. I'm happy.

I suspected that it was simply because the seller threw in a microphone, but it's hard to tell since all of the Pipers I saw, both basic and elite, have the exact same hands (Right open, left clinched fist) and only two head sculpts (The more common one shown here and the exclusive EG sculpt) The only way I'd be able to tell is the boots, but even then, it's a crapshoot. The bagpipes are obscuring the ankle joints somewhat. |

I gave my 2-Pack the EG head. I also made a couple elites with the EG head, Funk torso and 2-Pack lower body. I have 3 or 4 EG Piper's in a parts bin with the 2-Pack heads on them. But I think that figure pictured above will end up being the TShirt series head and lower legs (no socks) on the EG body. Not sure why they would get rid of the kilt though. I would have put that on the TShirt figure as well. Although looking at it again the legs are alot closer than any EG Piper I have. So that could be the Legends 2-Pack figure. |

The seller got back to me and it turned out my suspicions were correct and it was indeed the elite figure. I asked for a pic of the chest and got this:  No belt though, which is quite alright. Thanks guys for the help! |

 Dunno what to do about the belt, it was just a black ribbon with a silver print and 2 bits of velcro on each side, if my memory serves me. |
