1. This is awesome chants. I remember being at King of the Ring 2001. When Angle suplexed Shane through the glass wall; there were only ooohs, applauds, and holy s*** chants. No stupid This is awesome chants.
2. Audiences chanting holy $*** at stupid things. I remember when Brock Lesnar returned and the crowd chanting holy $***. Why? I don't get why does this deserve that chant. Other times when we see someone gets put through the announce table I hear the chant, but why? We see this all the time. I believe this chant is only warranted if we see someone goes through a flaming table or something new that looks painful.

Seeing things live is much much different then seeing things on TV every week. Seeing it with your own eyes live gives it more gravitas. Plus not everyone has seen everything a million times.

When the commentators say, "this is going to be a very physical match". Like duh its contact sport it's meant to be physical.

It can never be said enough... I have a psychotic hatred for the WHAT? chants. Agree TOTALLY with this. The stupid 'WHAT?' chants completely ruin in-ring promos. I detest this aswell.

Back around late 2001 - and 2002, I thought it was funny, it was cool and hip for Steve Austin to say this, promos were amusing and funny with Steve - but I wish to god the fans would get over this now, we are talking almost 15 years ago, it is no longer funny, it's completely unbearable, and it's killing in-ring promos.

5. Narrow minded 'writing' in WWE - well, if you are sports entertainment, you're certainly not booked on the same vein as pro wrestling is 4. Commentary everywhere except Japan - selfishly the only commentary that interests me is in a language I can't understand 3. Fans and their need to be more over than the wrestlers themselves - PWG, Full Sail, Raw after WM, etc. 2. The notion that WWE is what people instantly think of when they hear the word 'wrestling'. I almost put this at number one. 1. The complete lack of ring psychology in all its forms - and no, a match that features tons of near falls and tit-for-tat moves done does NOT equal 'GOAT match' and other rubbish. Lorenzo Alcazar's offering ties into what I'm talking about. HM: Really this is a subset of point 3 - as it pertains to fans. Fans who review shows, wrestlers like they're the second coming of Dave Meltzer annoy the hell out of me...we get it, you think you're important, but IMO - you're anything but. I have some more: Camera cuts on impactful moves...watching old Nitros made me realise how spoilt I was a teen - watching powerbombs uninterrupted, etc. The fact WWE has done this crappy camera cutting CONSISTENTLY on stuff like that annoys me greatly. Wrestling fans who think they're Dave Meltzer; rating matches and quibbling over a star or half a star - you're a ing fan - nothing more, nothing less - your opinion should be kept as your opinion. Meltzer is a journalist, and I use that term loosely as it applies to pro wrestling. This notion that 'if you don't like Cena that you stuck in 2006 when people started to turn on him'. If I don't like him, I don't like him - there's no subtext, he just doesn't offer anything I'm interested in when I want to watch wrestling (or at the very least, sports entertainment)

I didn't think so - as such, I'm referring to other fans I see online...much the same as metal fans who try to tell me which albums I should like - and they're what, 20? That was not directed at you mate...please don't treat it as such.

In that case, I definitely agree there.

See, I like the fact that you're actively looking for something else besides WWE, mate - it's pretty cool to see...NJPW is a great place to start. As part of my neuroses I tend to be like Punk; if something disappoints me or let's me down, instead of whine about how much o don't like it, I'll look for something to fulfil an interest... So having a day to catch up on stuff saw me have too good an opportunity to vent a tad again via this thread...

Shinsuke is my man though, not many wrestlers have captivated me like he has. I've started looking for stuff outside of WWE anyway. That's why I was watching so much WCW, and fell in love with the likes of Scott Steiner, DDP, Goldberg, and Sting.
