$2 DVDs. I'll be working, anyway, so I'm not really expecting to find much more than that when the dust settles.

Only stuff that I can order online. Never been into all the line waiting and fighting over stuff just to save a few bucks.

.......and that is why I don't work retail anymore. People are animals, and you will never fully realise that until you work in retail during holidays. Honestly its just not worth it.Why Waste Your thanksgiving night by standing outside all night long for a tv,an ipad,a ps4 it's just not worth it.There will be other deals and plus this is a perfect example of Why People Should use Layaway because if you put those things on layaway like a tv that cost 400 and you put a deposit down like 50 which leaves 350 to pay off you also get the black friday deal as well.So if your tv is 50 bucks off you can walk in anytime you want and just pick it up from the back and pay whatever you have left over without dealing with all the drama with the black friday deal. Very good points. I've either done layaway or just shopped for online black Friday deals to avoid the hassle.

I think we had this in the UK last year and it was anarchy, you won't catch me out there among those ing animals. It was mental. I watched Good Morning Britain before work and a man literally walked over an old woman and nearly threw her to the ground to get into an Argos. Luckily another guy was there to catch her but it's ridiculous.

Not a damn thing. I've done it once, and it was simply to spend time with my girl fire and her family.
I've worked retail for 20 years. And with black Friday now starting on thanksgiving, I hate it more than ever. My family does an early evening get together. They all live an hour away, bit now I'm stuck working that day. Retail isn't important enough to need to be open . People do not need shirts and pants that bad.

I've seen what stores look like on Black Friday and I'd rather pay full price than wait in line and deal with that carnage.

Strangely enough, I've never had anything but positive experiences on Black Friday. But, I don't live in a large city, either, so the people that come out are of the much more friendly variety.
For me, it's a fun thing my friends and I do every year. I know that I could get 85% of the deals online, but we have a ton of fun. It also helps that Maine has a law forbidding retail from opening during Thanksgiving. So, all of our stores open at 12:01am. No need to miss Thanksgiving with family at all here.

Hate Black Friday.I never understood who thought it would be a good idea to have a ton of people shop in one specific night and put so many people in danger.I'll never forget my experience working on a black friday a few years ago when I worked at a target and it was complete nightmare people literally running for a freaking TV,and many other items was beyond ridiculous.I've seen so many news reports about people being injured, fighting, shootings and even a couple of deaths on this day they need to stop doing this crap. .......and that is why I don't work retail anymore. People are animals, and you will never fully realise that until you work in retail during holidays. I worked at Toys R Us during the 2009 Holiday season. Black Friday left 3 injured, including a 65 year old man who was pushed up against the double doors as we opened the first set. The big item that year was those Hammster / Gerbil pets. We lied to people, and told them we only had a limited supply of 100. First come, first seve. We actually had about 55 cases in the back. But managment would only allow the sale of 100 because they wanted to force customers back to the store for the entire Holiday season. After Black Friday, we were only allowed to put one case of these things out at a time. We literally fished customers for the season. After that, I swore off retail. The year before, I worked at Target. I watched 3 people fight over a TV. Funny part was, 2 weeks later that $250 TV was on sale for $199. Sometimes Black Friday sales aren't as good.

I always go for Blu-rays and video games. Sometimes clothes. I bought a great leather jacket one year for $6.

Nothing. I use to love going out on Black Friday to shop when I was younger even if it was just to look for new figures or get a few DVD's. I'm done with Black Friday though now. If I buy it'll be online but I'm not gonna fight any of these animals for a TV that is just to move old stock out for the new year anyway. I also think that it's disgusting that Black Friday now takes place on Thanksgiving making employees miss Thanksgiving dinner with their families.
It's quite ironic that the day we are suppose to be most thankful for the things we do have has now turned into a shopping day for people to act like animals and fight each other over a TV.

I work at Best Buy. That about sums up what I'll be doing on Black Friday.

I used to love Black Friday but it has turned into Black Thurs with retailers opening at 6pm. People can't even relax with their families after dinner because they have to go to work. I love shopping and the holidays but you can get 99% of the deals online. I also have no respect for people who camp out. Get a life and/or job.

I would rather stick my bobo in a beehive than step foot in a store on black friday.
