I honestly think that with all the bitching and butthurt comments people are forgetting the legendary Michael Cole involvement. He was basically just in the background "Charlotte...Charlotte..contract..Charlotte pls"

I was more bothered by how horrifically bad Charlotte is on the mic.

You say all this with a picture of a TNA star in your signature.... TNA, the same company a few years back that had a girl say AJ Styles raped her or had sex with her and such and it was a horrible story line. And nobody bought it, not one fan. Yet, Paige said what she said about Reid and every fan is in an uproar over it. Case closed, WWE did right and people are talking. That storyline was dumb, and what happened on Monday was dumb. Besides, if you really want to go there, what happened in that storyline was all kayfabe. They didn't bring up the actual death of someone. And once again, any publicity doesn't equal good publicity. Because if it did, then WCW 2000 must've been a success, because everyone talks bout how bad it was. People calling what happened on Monday stupid, doesn't mean they care about the match Sunday. You remind me of someone else who threw a fit every time he tried to argue.

I wasn't offended in the least by it but I don't see why Charlotte needed to bring it up. I loved Paige's comment about Reid not having it either.

You really can't argue with her, particularly the hashtag #cheapheat. Thats exactly what it was. It was mild though in comparison to what Punk did spreading Paul Bearer's fake ashes on Taker so soon after his death or Bossman hijacking Big Show's father's casket at the funeral. In some strange way I'm sure Bearer would have been delighted with still being included in that storyline. Man had been in the business for years. Unlike Reid. That whole segment was awkward. I agree 100%

Beth Flair has done some questionable things but here don't blame her. She should be angry.

If they asked Ric and he agreed, I would be suprised and a little put off to him as a human being. Wrestling is entertainment, sure, we all get that, but the death of a child is taxing, it hurts, DEEPLY. It's abnormal to be "ok" with something like that, it is. I couldn't imagine agreeing to have that brought up for the sake of a wrestling match, it's too degrading.
The Mother seems to be the only one in that family with a heart. Ric & Charlotte may be good wrestlers, but if they agreed to that they are awful human beings. No 2 ways about that, you shouldn't be ok with using your dead brother/ child as a cheap hook. He wasn't even in WWE so it's simply just an awful display of character from everyone involved. Family doesn't get over stuff like that, it shouldn't be whored out and degraded for a storyline. N
It speaks to the character of those involved, that's all.

Wow just saw that angle now. Definitely uncalled for. I couldn't tell if Paige said it as a shoot or she'd been told to do it by writers but either way if I was Paige I would have told them no. Wrestlers these days don't have a backbone and let writers completely control them like puppets.

So, they made a tasteless comment about Reid Flair's death, and they didn't even have the decency to contact Reid's parents? Stay classy, WWE. @doobie, I'm not throwing a fit. i'm just calling a dumb angle dumb.

Well, to be Fair (to Flair?) a gust of wind brings him to tears.
But yeah, WWE should have talked to Ric beforehand. Even if someone would have text him to prepare him for it. I know some may not of had problem with it. But Ric lost his son, and that can't be easy.

Think about past feuds that had the most passion to them, they were based on reality! The simple fact that Paige said that about Charlotte's brother has angered fans, and they want to see Charlotte get her revenge. If Paige would have said, "you are a horrible champion and you shouldn't even be here on Raw" and Charlotte attacked her.... who cares?? That isn't anything that is gonna make people want to invest in the story line. But you take something real, like Reid's death, and you have Paige say what she did.... that's real. That's emotion. I swear that you wrestling fans sometimes forget what makes a great angle and story line in wrestling. Could not agree more. Think of South Park too. They don't get permission when they run controversial episodes. They just do them. At least in WWE, there is a chance to make sure the performing parties are okay with it. is it cheap heat? Possibly. But so is beating down a person in their hometown. Or saying "Finally, the Rock has come back to (INSERT CITY)" or whatever it was that Mick Foley would say when he would be in "(INSERT CITY AND STATE)". Cheap heat works well in this day because honestly society has the attention span of nano seconds. That's why TLDR has become a thing. Soundbites work. we now have a real soundbite to go with this feud.

On Monday I had no problem with it. I assumed everyone had been informed of it. On Wednesday I'm ing disgusted. I'm all for more edgier storylines and less of the cutsey kiddie crap and building up a fued but you CANNOT bring up a sons death on TV for the sake of a storyline without at least telling the parents it's coming or runing it by them first knowing absolutley full well they would be watching!!!

I don't think it was needed. It was made to get cheap heat. Honestly it's disrespectful to the Flair family. Hearing Ric talk about it on his podcast makes me even more upset about it, he clearly doesn't want to hurt his daughters career but is obviously upset about it. I just think the comment could have been left out and the match would not have been affected by it.

Vince will probably tell Ric he meant his other son. Just like how HHH was referring to WCW wrestlers and not black people in his promo with Booker T.

They could have built this up and had it mean something. At least show the clip from Table for 3 where Charlotte talks about Reid.
