So Enzo & Big Cass had a match against two jobbers on NXT, Cass had been "injured" a month or so back at the hands of Dash & Dawson. So at this NXT episode, they don't come out with usual babyface entrance that's guaranteed to get a pop, they're not hi fiving children and giving their t-shirt to one either. They are intense, angry, working heel like to prove a point, that they're not to be taken lightly.
Alexa Bliss cut a promo alongside Blake & Murphy backstage, and she was upset, annoyed and trying to put the blame on the boys for her loss. Can you believe that? A wrestler showing us that they CARE about winning/losing.. unlike Becky Lynch the other week in that backstage segment with the New Day.
What a change to the usual repetitive characters. If that was Reigns, he would be doing his usual shtick like nothing has happened before and there is no reason to be angry/annoyed, same with the Uso's, Ryback and all these babyfaces that literally have one layer to them as characters.
Loved seeing this, was excellent, Enzo & Big Cass hit a home run with how intense they looked and happy that they didn't go for a cheap pop at all during their squash match.

NXT continues to do all the right things in terms of pro wrestling philosophy. You can see theres a difference between WWE main roster writers and whoever puts together NXT.

This type of thing is what I expect from NXT. The wrestlers need to work on and show versatility in their characters before getting called up to WWE.

OP is on the money, and echoes sentiments I made in my post in the NXT thread.
Well said - it's so simple too - show us that you care, you have passion and a reason and guess what? Others will care too - the ones you perform in front of. It's logic.
Wrestling, at its most base, isn't that hard. NXT has caught on to that premise for the most part and coupled it with hungry young performers....here's hoping they continue with following this logic.

Such great points. Serious Enzo and Cass were awesome. Enzo's eyeballs looked like they were going to pop out of his head last night.

The promo Enzo and Cass cut was great. Makes me hope they'll never split up, or at the least if for some reason they do, they'll easily have a Reigns/Ambrose thing. Glad to see BAMFactor back on NXT and actually show some energy for once. On the main roster, a heel costs a face a match, "I'll wait three weeks before I get my revenge and throw all my anger onto this person". In NXT, "You cost me a Title shot? I will kick your ass right now!" Simple things like that, showing that they care is so important.

I understand what is being said, and feel the same way. It's almost as if NXT wants you to follow them week to week, and show continuity, whereas WWE has standalone episodes of shows. Yeah, the feuds stay the same for the weeks leading up to the PPV, but the characters don't always seem to remember what happened.
I remember how amazed I was with DDP and Savage. DDP would come to the ring more bandaged up each week, and play off the injuries. Here, someone gets beatdown the night before in a PPV, and is only sporting a stitch or two and showing no signs of wear and tear. NxT seems to be the exception.
