So after tonights TLC we have the Austin/Michaels podcast and after the Rumble we are getting Austin/Flair. Seems like this is the new route for the podcasts.
How do you feel about it?
I'm personally not a fan. PPV's should be a big deal, people should be talking about what happened on the PPV and getting ready for RAW the next night. The podcasts are cool, they shouldn't follow a PPV.

I kinda feel like it'd lose its luster if it were after every show. Plus, I think the quality of guests would start going downhill fairly quickly

These have already lost their luster to me. They're not live anymore, and they are doing them with guys whose stories have been told in books, dvds, and other media already. The ones with Vince, Triple H, and Stephanie were really the only ones worth doing and they basically skirted any interesting question you'd want to know. If they'd keep it non kayfabe (or non WWE's revisionist telling of history), then maybe I'd be interested. But I literally don't care about these pretaped ones with the same legends we always hear about/see.

I always like to hear the Podcasts, even if its only one snippet of something you've never heard before its interesting. I still think it should be one every 2-3 months or so. Every PPV seems like a bit much, we're gonna start getting guests like Paige (who to this day was the worst interview Ive ever watched).
I do get the "its not live anymore" bit, Austin prob is a tough sell to fly out to the arenas they're in all the time. Its easier just to tape a bunch at his ranch at once and spread them out.

I think they're just mailing in these next two podcasts because they were prerecorded. The next time Austin does a live one it'll probably be back in its normal slot after RAW. They really, really need to let him interview Taker and finally allow him to break character for an hour.

Already saying they're not live anymore, after two have been pre taped? Wow. Maybe they wanted to try something new with them, I think Austin spends the last few months of the year down at the Broken Skull Ranch on deer season, so they thought it'd be easier to record two in one day. WWE Get their podcasts, and Austin gets to hunt deer.

The PPV aren't really PPV anymore
Not like they end in epic fashion or anything to begin with like when we were kids.
I'm good with fresh material whenever they'll give it. We need more of it. Let the stone cold softball lob podcasts keep coming!

I think the whole fascination and aura around his podcasts on the WWE Network was because they came at certain pivotal times when there was a deal of controversy going around in relation to booking or WWE Programming in general, and having the likes of Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Vince McMahon etc be put on the spot in a Live Shoot and seeing them confronted by Austin's manner, it made for a great watch. Having him just do regular podcasts for the sake of it with Legends and active superstars only means the questions will just became more tame and the watch wont be as worth while.

I love how it said 'live' though obviously wasn't for Austin and Michaels.

I completely agree with keeping them away from PPVs. Personally I also don't like them after RAW either. After 3 hours of wrestling, I need a break.
