You should. WWE has no compete clauses with major venues during Mania weekend that states no other wrestling related events can be held there. NXT Brooklyn was scheduled at the same time as Field of Honor. Same with the Takeover before Mania 32 in Dallas. They are a monopoly and trying to hold onto that.
It's honestly not that surprising. This is literally what Vjnce has done since the mid 80s. Suffocate or buy the competition or their best wrestlers.

Keeping in mind that Bennett has just left the company would kinda show the research this great reporter has made. [/quote]

Really? You guys don't think that WWE seems to have it out for ROH?

Nxt is running a show on the same night as Roh the weekend of mania. Plus triple h keeps raiding their talent. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if triple h wants to kill them.

Well, yeah. Why would WWE want another company leeching off their business when they have an indy supershow they can put on themselves?

ROH has better story lines for its wrestlers and better fans at the events. So of course Triple H wants all the talent he can get from there.
NXT is the WWE's answer to ROH. However, NXT is still a WWE show, just fans get blinded by the fact that its NXT. I would pick ROH's weekly syndicated show each week over the NXT weekly show. I would pick an ROH PPV over a NXT Takeover show. The WWE knows that ROH is competition for NXT (not so much for the WWE brand) and they would love to put a stop to that.

I'd take NXT over ROH, honestly.

OR is ROH running a show on WWE's Mania weekend? That sword swings both ways. ROH wouldn't be there if it wasn't the biggest weekend in wrestling. I doubt Triple H wants to kill them. Everyone knows competition is good for business. Vince might want to kill them but it's not like ROH is even a blip on their radar in the grand scheme of things. WWE can only raid their roster so far. Apparently Bennett and Maria are heading to TNA anyway.

I'd take NXT over ROH, honestly. How can you say that?? Do you watch ROH at all?? The wrestling is so much better than NXT. NXT is just WWE lite. That Takeover Show from London a few days ago proved that.

Honestly though who wouldn't run a show in the same city as mania. There's so many fans there and so much going on with wrestlecon and talent everywhere. It's smart. Either way nxt and Roh will both fill up that weekend, but it does seem like nxt is being put there on the same night to draw the Roh crowd. Which probably won't hurt it because they have their own cult following. Plus it seems for every talent nxt takes another Dalton castle or war machine step up.

That Takeover Show from London a few days ago proved that. Ring of honor is far and away the better show. I was bored out of my mind and irritated by the crowd shortly after takeover started, and final battle is beyond intense throughout the entire show. The weakest match on the card is on par with the main event of takeover.

Well, yeah. Why would WWE want another company leeching off their business when they have an indy supershow they can put on themselves? When you said the WWE could put on an Indy Supershow that weekend, before I realized you meant NXT I almost choked thinking you meant Wrestlemania. I hate the no competition clause. I understand why Vince does it. It's business smart. But the true wrestling fans would love to see an ROH/SHIMMER show the same week as Mania. Because you may have shelled out savings to go to Mania, but can't ALWAYS afford a trip to Indiana, Philly or what have you to see ROH, SHIMMER, CZW etcetera. It's smart business but that doesn't mean I don't like it.

That Takeover Show from London a few days ago proved that. I admire the NXT homegrowns, & of course I love their Indy star recruits, but he's right dude. NXT is basically Indy wrestling for WWE fans who want to look cool. Ring Of Honor is there major league of the last vestige of them territories. EVOLVE, FIP, PWG, Chikara, & the occasional gem from CZW & Beyond are up there as well. Back to the point. I wish Ring Of Honor could book Madison Square Garden & host it's own week long extravaganza with a PWHF induction ceremony that Saturday night with an ultimate Indy-Supercard featuring all of them aforementioned promotions, along with New Japan, Luvha Underground, Revolution Pro, & WXW under the ROH Banner.
