So on Wednesday out of the blue I started feeling seriously unwell. Bad stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration and loss of appetite. Probably the worst I've ever been unwell. Since Wednesday all the days feel like they've just blended together. I've had absolutely no strength or energy to do anything. I've tried to eat one thing and that was a bowl of chicken noodle soup this morning. Other than that I've only been craving fluids due to dehydration. I've gone through two 2L bottles of Fanta, 2L bottles of Pepsi Max(probably not the best choice), a carton of apple juice and a carton of orange juice. A lot of which I just kept throwing up.
Today, Sunday I finally feel a bit better but I'm still far from 100 percent. I went to the doctors on Friday and got some meds, and even that was a chore. Not sure if they're helping slowly or not. I talked to my dad and he said it sounds like norovirus. Has anyone else caught this lately or had something similar in the past? Just looking for a bit of encouragement that I should be feeling better soon.

I know your pain. I just got over a bad bout of salmonella poisoning. All because of an undercooked egg & cheese sandwich. I've been living on a diet of water, ginger ale & soda crackers all week. Not only did I have hardly any energy, but it severely affected my mental state as well. I was sounding off at people at work. Basically put, I was a miserable tw*t. Personally speaking, the only thing that can help is proper sleep. Hope you're feeling better.

Soda is usually the worst for dehydration. Gatorade or powerade is usually the best for that when you are sick. I haven't gotten a flu but i have a cold right now i have had for a little over a week which is really getting annoying though. At first i thought it would be a 2-3 thing but its lingered so i may just need to head to a dr if it doesn't get better.

Chest infection since about Wednesday which has seemed to affect some of my partner's family too.
I have stomach cramps and whatnot anyway because of something wrong with my bowels that's to be inspected by a Gastroenterologist.

I went through the same thing you did last year and was in my bed for 2 days straight. I hardly ate and I had to drink a lot of water. Vitamin Water is what worked best for me. Try getting some man get some vitamins in your system, hope you feel 100% better soon.

My mother's been sick with a cold or flu the past few days.
I've had already had a couple of colds this year, so I'm going to be annoyed if I catch another so soon.

Well here in Alabama it's 80 degrees one day and the next it's 48. So people are sick all the time. Me included.
The people I work with decided it would be awesome to pass a stomach virus around for a month. We were all dying.
But we lost 5lbs

Update: the vomitting and diarrhea appear to have both finally stopped but my stomach still hurts pretty bad. Really hope I'm better by Christmas because this would be the worst Christmas tradition ever. "Looking forward to Christmas are ya? Well now you can enjoy it while being sick as too."

I had it last week. It lasted about four days. It was a really weird bug though. I felt sick Sunday night and threw up a couple times but an hour or do later I was fine. I felt great all day Monday but that night it came back and I was ed until Wednesday. Thursday and most of Friday I was fine, but it came back again at like three in the morning. I threw up a few times and felt even worse then I did before. I felt bad for a few hours on Saturday, then the diarrhea kicked in but after that I was fine. I've never had a bug come and go like that. I didn't even know that was possible.

I read this yesterday evening, and wouldn't you know it, right before bed I threw up. I was constantly waking up all night to run to the bathroom to throw up. My little sister had a bug, and it seems that she gave it to me. I feel a tad bit better, and I was able to keep half a cup of water down. I hate being sick.

I did miss last Monday. No biggie, we finished at 6:30am and I made up for it by working 8 hrs Saturday at time & a half.

The grief they give you if you go to take a day off when you are sick is the one thing I don't miss. Before I got injured there I was their favorite employee, but once I got injured and they knew I was missing peak season I became an outcast.
