WWE Studios recently applied to trademark "Gorgeous George." We noted back in October that WWE's movie on the wrestling legend was finally moving forward as Josh Gad and Ryan Dixon were hired to write the script for the biopic that will look at the life and career of George, who helped bring sports into the TV age.
Do you think this will be good news as far as Gorgeous George ever getting a figure made? I'd like to see it in the Elite HOF line - with a shiny pink robe and feather fan. I know it's only for WWE Studios...but still, a guy can hope.

This was my Dads all time favorite wrestler. I would love an elite of him. He is also a major player in my WWE2k game year in and year out.

I doubt he will get a figure in Mattel's series but you never know. He was a hell of a performer

I think it'd make a great Hall Of Fame elite figure.

maybe it ran out....but Macho Man owned the trademark for the name Gorgeous George.
he bought it in the 90s and supposedly offered the gimmick to Lanny Poffo when he got him a job in WCW. But WCW didn't use him....so Macho eventually gave the name to his GF/manager.
Macho Man ended up suing her and the adult company for trying to use the name.

I would love an elite but the reality is that I don't think he would sell well at retail.

I'd pass. Don't know much about him. Yeah, I'd pass too. I don't really know anything about him. Also, he would warm hard if they made a figure of him.

I'd pass. Don't know much about him. Yeah, I'd pass too. I don't really know anything about him. Also, he would warm hard if they made a figure of him. I think figures of really classic wrestlers deserve to be made, they just need to be marketed to the correct audience. Because there IS an audience/market for them, I just don't think it's at Wal-Mart next to everything else kids are exposed to on a daily basis. It'd shelf warm and probably have low sales that discourage making more. Look what happened to JYD -- that's just the 1980s and it had problems despite being a great figure. Kids just don't know them, so they don't care. Hell, CM Punk's last elite is still around. Why? He's off TV. Kids have very low attention spans -- unless you're on TV being shoved down their throats like Reigns or Cena, you're an afterthought. I think figures in the vintage category need to be online only and most likely cost more to buy. Now, if releasing a throwback legend along side a Cena or Reigns helps get it made, then I guess we're stuck lol. But if they can allow more online exclusives it'd be great.

If we're venturing into older dudes, I want a Wahoo McDaniel. That's my dad's favorite wrestler.

I think its safe to say that we will never ever get a Gorgeous George figure. Lets be honest, we dont even have Greg Valentine or Brutus Beefcake yet.
