*This is a special RISE broadcast, intended to showcase the talent and production of the show before the official debut come January 5th*
Welcome to RISE.
*The first view of the night is on a smiling William Regal, who is seated in his office at the RISE headquarters in Vancouver, BC.
William Regal: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to RISE. Tonight, this broadcast will feature two exclusive matches from our spectacular RISE talent, as well as several announcements regarding matches, events, and the fate of the RISE Championships.
To begin, I'll now send you to our broadcast team located at the MTS Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
*We are now taken to the arena, where we see over 14,000 fans on their feet as Tom Phillips and Richard Parker are standing in the ring, along with Nigel McGuinness and the RISE lead ring announcer, Mark Adams.*
Richard Parker: Good evening, and welcome to RISE!
Tom Phillips: Tonight, all of you fans here in the MTC Center will witness two amazing matches from our talent roster, as well as the official announcements regarding our debut TV episode, and the fate of the three RISE Championships.
Here to announce the first championship match for our debut show, professional wrestling legend, Nigel McGuinness!
*Phillips and Parker leave the ring to return to the announce table, as McGuinness steps forward with a microphone in hand*
Nigel McGuinness: Thank you for that wonderful introduction, Tom.
Now, I'm here to address all of you about the RISE Intercontinental Championship. I'm here to tell you all just who the two lucky participants will be in the championship match come January 5. Competing for the Intercontinental Championship will be N-
*Nigel is cut of by the opening drum beats of "Unsettling Differences" by Blue Smock Nancy, as we see Kevin Owens emerge from the curtain and on to the stage, seemingly in a bad mood.*
Kevin Owens: Okay...okay. Listen, nobody wants you here, Nigel. Nobody wants to listen to some has bee-...No. As a matter of fact, you aren't a has-been Nigel, you are simply a never-was. You never made it to the big time, Nigel, and in my books, that means you are irrelevant in the world of wrestling. I don't know whether Regal just couldn't be here tonight, or if he wanted somebody else from his stupid little country to talk for a while, just so he could hear the accent.
Nigel, nobody cares about what you have to say. All of these fans know that the Intercontinental Championship will end up around my waist anyway. Heck, just give me every title we have. I know, and they know that nobody back there is worthy of carrying this company on their back. Nobody back there is capable of being the fac-
Nigel McGuinness: That's enough of that. Look Kevin, I'm not out here to wrestle, I'm not out here to be an instigator. I'm here to announce the two contenders for the title, and you, you are not one of them.
*The fans cheer as Owens looks on, disapprovingly*
Nigel McGuinness: On January 5th, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Noam Dar will go one on one with Tyler Breeze for the RISE Intercontinental Championship.
*As the crowd cheers the news, Owens begins to walk down the ramp and holds the mic up to his mouth, but before he can begin talking, he is immediately interrupted by McGuinness*
Nigel McGuinness: One more thing, Kevin...as you know, you are wrestling tonight. In fact, you are in action...next!
*Owens sighs and twitches his face as the cameras cut to commercial.*
*Commercial*
*We return from commercial to see Kevin Owens sat on the top turnbuckle on the far left of the ring, staring directly down the ramp, with a sour expression on his face.*
*The camera pans to the stage, as "¡Olé!" by the Bouncing Souls begins to blast through the speakers*
Mark Adams: His opponent, from Mexico, weighing in at 187lbs, El Ligero!
*Before Ligero can enter the ring, Owens runs down the ramp and delivers a forearm to Ligero's face, and rolls him into the ring.*
Match 1: Kevin Owens vs El Ligero.
Owens drags Ligero to the center of the ring and taunts, throwing his arms to his sides yelling "I'm the man!", before grabbing Ligero by the end to set him up in a powerbomb position. Just before he can lift him up, Ligero fights out of it, and delivers a few elbows to the gut before, running against the ropes, and dropkicking Owens, sending him into the ropes. Ligero runs up to clothesline Owens out of the ring, and begins to clap in order to elicit a fan reaction. Ligero once again runs the ropes and hits a con-hilo, knocking Owens down as the fans cheer.
As Ligero gets back to his feet, he approaches Owens, who punches him in the face in order to bide time to recover. Owens again goes to grab Ligero's head, before being met with a swift kick to the gut. Owens rolls into the ring as Ligero scales the turnbuckles. Owens hits the rope, knocking Ligero down from the top, and sends his crashing to the mat. Owens drags Ligero to the centre of the ring and locks him into a chinlock. The fans boo as Owens shouts insults at Ligero.
Ligero begins to regain momentum by escaping the chinlock, but is quickly halted by another forearm to the face from Owens. Owens lifts Ligero up into the powerbomb position, but is reversed, as Ligero hurricanrana's Owens across the ring. Owens quickly stands back in the the corner, as Ligero runs up and connects with a leaping clothesline. Owens staggers out of the corner into a gut kick from Ligero. Ligero struggles, but manages to lift Owens up for a double underhook suplex. The fans cheer this impressive feet of strength as Ligero waits for Owens to get back on his feet. As Owens begins to stand, Ligero runs the ropes, but gets caught into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
Both men are laying on the mat as the fans begin to chant for Ligero. Owens reaches his feet first, but gets swiped by Ligero, as he also returns upright. Ligero quickly hits a standing elbow drop onto Owens for a pin attempt. Owens powers out at one, pushing Ligero from on top of him as he gets back up. A vicious right hand from Owens leaves Ligero staggering as Owens runs the ropes. Just before he can connect with a clothesline, he is halted as Ligero screams "SSSTTTOOOPPP!". Confused, Owens puts his arm down, but gets hit with an eziguri. Owens is left stunned as Ligero again runs the ropes, but is knocked off his feet after Owens hits the clothesline.
Owens shouts "STUPID!" towards a downed Ligero, before attempting a running senton. Ligero moves out of the way as Owens hits the mat, and immediately craps up. Ligero takes advantage, hitting Owens with a dropkick before going for another pinfall. Owens gets his shoulder up at two, as Ligero begins to scale the ropes. Ligero gestures for Owens to get up as he slowly makes his way back to his feet. Ligero leaps off the ropes for a seated senton, but is caught into a huge powerbomb from Owens. Owens then lifts up the incapacitated Ligero, and hits him with a Package Piledriver. One, two, three.
Winner: Kevin Owens.
*Owens arm is raised by referee Des Robinson, as Owens theme music plays throughout the arena to a chorus of boos.*
*The camera cuts to the announce desk, where Tom Phillips and Richard Parker are seated*
Tom Phillips: A great match we just witnessed there, Parker. It's a shame Owens came out on top.
Richard Parker: Why is it a shame? Owens came out here and did what he does best. Dominate.
Tom Phillips: Not without showing disrespect to his opponent, and not to mention what he said to Nigel McGuinness before the match!
Richard Parker: Respect? Respect gets you no where. El Ligero has respect, and look where he is. Down on the mat after losing his match.
Tom Phillips: Anyway...that wasn't the only match you get to see tonight, fans!
Richard Parker: That's right, Tom. We still have our huge eight man tag team main event.
Tom Phillips: We will see the team of Enzo Amore, Colin Cassidy, Hideo Itami and Finn Balor take on Chad Gable, Jason Jordan along with Big E and Kofi Kingston of the New Day! That match and more, still to come on the RISE showcase!
*Commercial*
*We return from commercial to see Mark Adams standing in the middle of the ring, ready to speak*
Mark Adams: Ladies and gentlemen, here to talk about the RISE Tag Team Championships, Theodore Long!
*The crowd cheers as "MacMillitant" begin to pay while Teddy Long makes his way down to the ring*
Richard Parker: Ugh, I never liked this guy, why is he so obsessed with tag team matches anyway?
Tom Phillips: You really have no respect, do you...
Richard Parker: Like I said earlier, respect gets you nothing.
Tom Phillips: You might be right actually, I have respect, and I'm stuck here next to you.
*Teddy Long is now in the ring, as he waves to the fans and begins to speak*
Teddy Long: Holla Holla! I'm here to announce the match for the Tag Team Championships next week. On January 5th, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish will take on whichever team picks up the fall in your main event tonight, for the Tag Team Titles. Belee that, playas. Holla.
Tom Phillips: Some big news there from Theodore Long, as our main event now has championship implications!
Richard Parker: Indeed, but we have some announcements of our own, Tom.
Tom Phillips: We absolutely do, Richard. We are happy to announce to you fans that next week, Johnny Gargano will go one on one with Sami Zayn!
Richard Parker: Also, we will witness the debut of the mysterious "Warrior" Aaron Crow, as he takes on Xaiver Woods of the New Day.
Tom Phillips: All of this and more, next week on RISE TV! Now, we take you to William Regal, who is in out headquarters in Vancouver.
*We are taken to a similar scene from earlier in the show, as William Regal is seated at his desk, ready to address the RISE audience.*
William Regal: Thank you, Tom.

Tom Phillips: It's clear that all four of these guys are fan favorites, but will they be able to get along tonight, with a shot at the Tag Team Titles hanging in the balance?
Richard Parker: If I was in any one of these teams, I'd make sure to never tag out. You don't want to risk letting the other guys on your team getting the pinfall, and the title shot.
*With all four members of the first team in the ring, we hear a voice bellow through the speaker system*
Big E: AAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW MONTREAL! DON'T YOU DARE BE SOUR...CLAP FOR YOUR SOON TO BE RISE TAG TEAM CHAMPS, AND FFFFEEEEEEEELLLLLLL TTTHHHHEEEEEE PPPOOOOOWWWWAAAHHHHHHH!!
