Elite 18 Brodus Clay. The biggest shelf warmer of the Mattel era? There's 3 Wal-Marts back home and he's all over each of them. I've stopped at 3 different Wal-Marts today, miles and miles away and he's still there. How long until he hits Miss Texas BCA levels of shelf warm-dom? This isn't so much a "name the shelf warmer at your local store" type post, but rather a serious question. Ms Texas was all over my Wa-Marts, but the thing is, her figure came out in what? Late '98 Chicago ? I can say, not for sure, but with great confidence, that she wasn't still on the shelfs 3 years later. So the question is; Is Elite 18 Brodus Clay THE biggest shelf warming wrestling figure of all time? Also, was he saying, "Can I hit him" or "Can I get him"? |

A kmart in pa still has about 15 of him. Its insane.
Ive seen dr death warming flea market stands hard, even after years on store shelves

I still see his Basics and Elites everywhere. There's one sitting at the closest Walmart in the clearance section actually.

Dr. Death and Jacqueline from the Jakks BCA figure line were both released to stores in the first quarter of 1999 (January and February, respectively).

Thankfully haven't seen E18 ( or E25) Brodus in a long while at retail but I'm going to throw out E32 Daniel Bryan just for sheer quantities I see of him still. Granted he's only 6-7 series old at retail but damn he won't go away

He's like $8 or $9 right now! Clear those things out! LOL. I've done my part. Got two last night |

Bloadus Clay was at my K-Mart up until recently when the store closed down for good. So he went down with the ship. His figure was certainly one of the biggest shelf warmers. His gimmick and wrestling were terrible, so I can see why no kid wanted his figure.
