WWE has a chance to do a full reset if they wanted to. However it looks like Reigns has the "Cena fans" backing now, so it probably won't happen. Then again I wouldn't mind a surprise short term champion... like a Kofi Kingston or Bray Wyatt....

All I know is that it's bad for Roman. If he goes the distance and wins, fans could turn on him again. Especially if there are guys in the Rumble that the fans would rather see win.
I said from the get go that a heel needs to win the Rumble this year. If fans are gonna boo it because their favourite wrestler didn't win, at least give it to a heel to win so it makes since he is getting booed. The last two years have been embarrassing to say the least, having Batista and Reigns get booed back to back.

WWE has had a chance for a full reboot on so many occasions and have never pulled the trigger on the right people. Fans were clamoring for Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins once the Shield disbanded. We got Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins instead.

Roman eliminates Roman to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Roman then becomes number one contender at Fastlane and gets his rematch at WrestleMania. Mania ends with Roman recapturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the big stage.

This is another no win situation for the fans. Lets be honest, the only legit guys who have a shot to win are Roman, Cena, Lesnar, and HHH. Sure, there's dark horses like Owens and Ambrose, but the WWE never pulls swerves like that.
Roman wins and it continues the super-Cena push. One of the other three win and it's same old same old crap. And we know if they win that Roman will face em at WM.
Putting the title on the line in the Rumble got me excited but coming big back to reality makes me dread it.

My problem with AJ Styles coming in is a lot of fans won't know who he is.
It won't really make sense to more casual fans for some random Joe Schmo to come in off the street and win
(Id love it though. He's 38, and they need to get that title on him as soon as they possibly can)

If reigns wins that's 3 consecutive boos for the rumble....

I can see them going the way of having Triple H win the Title, leading onto Triple H vs Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania, and if not then Vince McMahon brings out Brock Lesnar in a desperation attempt to win the Rumble, resulting in Lesnar vs Reigns II. I'd be more in favour of Triple H winning, which I think has a distinct possibility with his lack of being on TV as of late. However, it's just becoming tiring seeing Reigns get held back and chasing. He's already become champion now, the end goal has been reached. Even the casual fan shouldn't care about following his journey yet again to Wrestlemania chasing the title. I'm intrigued to see how this pans out, but it looks so desperate as of late, with two Title Matches in a few weeks on Raw and now the Rumble for the Title. The sad thing is, is no matter what happens at the Rumble, Reigns will be leaving Wrestlemania as Champion.
They've essentially booked themselves into a corner with him again though. If he wins the Rumble for the second year in a row, the fans present will cr*p all over it, again. If he loses the Title, then once again we have to sit through Reigns chasing again. The best thing they could have done was now that they put the Belt on Reigns, just had him have his run and enjoy it, so at least we can look forward to the future. Cena could have won the Rumble, and passed the torch in the Main Event at Wrestlemania.
It looks to me like it's between Triple H and Reigns for the Rumble win now, although it wouldn't surprise me if that German Article was correct and they had Cena finally turn Heel and align with the Authority to win the Rumble. If they finally play the Cena Heel Card in an attempt to get Reigns over as a babyface though, then that just about sums everything up.

I'm a Roman Reigns fan but he needed to lose the title on Raw to somebody other than Sheamus. I would like to see a HHH vs Reigns match at Mania with the LoN ringside in a lumberjack style match. If Rollins is healed have him come out and curb stomp " or pedigree lol" everyone and have Reigns win dirty for once then have Reigns and Rollins face off in the ring. If his knee is still hurt have him use the title belt to smash HHH in the face.

I could really do without Reigns winning again. I don't really like the stipulation to be honest, takes away the tradition.

I have absolutely no problem with HHH/Reigns. Infact make it a street fight and I'm all over it... In one condition. Not a title match.
Why would 1 match a year Hunter be handed a title shot? At Wrestlemania of all times. Shouldn't you earn something like that?
I'd have Triple H eliminate Reigns similar to how Jericho eliminated Shawn Michaels back in 2003. Reigns is punished further by being made to enter number 1 and Triple H jumps him from behind with the sledge hammer and tosses him out while he's waiting for number 2 to enter. This won't make Reigns look weak either.
Boom, the whole Rumble just got turned upside down. You make it for the title and the champion is eliminated before the whole thing even starts. That would literally get everyone interested.
Give us on top of that the predictable Lesnar vs. Sheamus (or Owens) and Cena vs. Taker matches AS WELL AS a world title match which will draw attention no matter who's in it and Mania really isn't looking half as bad as once thought.

I'd love to see Trips win one last title reign, or help some heel defeat Reigns in the end (as long as it's not Big Show). I will be sorely disappointed if they go the predictable route and have Reigns OVERCOME THE ODDS yet again to beat the whole roster and retain the title. Which is probably what Vince wants.
Also, no Cena as champion, please.

Skybet had AJ Styles at 33/1 to win the Royal Rumble. I feel I have to put a couple of pounds on that.

Cashes in on Roman after Roman lays out Roman with a Spear.
