So over at my favorite wrestling web site there's a rumor sent in by someone who "works for WWE HR"and said that Daniel Bryan's release papers have been drawn up and it's going to be announced on the 18th. Now, I'm not saying that whomever sent the email into Scott was lying, but this is very reminiscent of something that I did to Scott Keith a couple months back... Anyone remember seeing the news about Bryan being the one to challenge Cena when it turned out to be ADR? lol! That was me. (which I'm wont to do... he published an entertaining Billy Gunn/Dolph Ziggler email I sent him just this week. There's been a good 5 more of those types of emails that he's entertained as well) So I send the email, go about the rest of my Saturday, get up on Sunday morning and see that wrestlinginc ran the story! I was amazed because I thought the story I told was an obvious lie. Keith even knew it was a lie. But the IWC picked it up and ran with it.
Like I said, I'm not saying he doesn't have his release, but coming from someone who has started some Bryan nonsense through Scott before, I say take it with a grain of salt.

I find that unless you read it on WWE.com, it's best to take everything you read with a grain of salt.

Why would they release Daniel Bryan.. Because they aren't going to clear him, and he's just a money drain at this point?

I find that unless you read it on WWE.com, it's best to take everything you read with a grain of salt. Sh*t, even they blew a Matt Bourne death story a few years back. Maybe it was Haynes? Somebody though, they got it wrong... But yeah, Meltzer gets fed quite a lot of BS and he does really good at siphoning through it, but like with the recent Orton story. Someone that works for the company told Meltzer it was a baaaaaaaad neck deal, it's not like he just made it up for the fun of it. With something like this, if it's not on WWE.com or one of the people's in question Twitter page, having a salt shaker would be a good call.

If it happens, it would be really ing tragic that it would happen when Nakamura and Styles SIGN WITH WWE! Argh. Well, if it is real, there's still Zach Sabre Jr.

Speaking on the subject of me and my friends trolling online personalities, did you hear Walt wish JJ and Ramona a Merry Christmas a few weeks back?

He can't make them money when he's on screen twice a year, and it's not like he has a legends deal to be paid only when he makes appearances. And if he's being paid more than he makes them, and they refuse to clear him for whatever their reason he, a release makes sense.

If they release him, it'd be real swell if they'd waive the no-compete clause.

If they release him, it'd be real swell if they'd waive the no-compete clause. No way in hell. They won't let him touch Japan or ROH before 90 days when they can destroy him and try to with his image every show with snark remarks before the no compete clause ends. That's not below WWE.

In which case, he should sue like Del Rio. WWE knows their "independent contractor" crap is BS, and will just fold again.

The Del Rio thing was much easier to prove than Bryan's situation. Del Rio's case was entirely racial (the reason he acted the way he did then subsequently get fired instead of the other guy). Slander'd be a little harder to get to roll I think.

I don't see him being released. That would be non-beneficial to all parties in my opinion.

I don't see Sara Del Ray and A-Train making the WWE buckets of money. Bryan's better than both of them, but I fail to see how being a trainer would make them money. Train guys to be fed to Cena/Reigns/Orton? How's that make them money?
