Am I the only one who cant stand JBL constantly making a reference to "Dudleyville" whenever the Dudleys are out?
JBL is seriously Cole/Lawler bad.

I totally agree
For the longest time everybody praised him too, Iv always though he was awful at commentary. Most of the time he's unlistenable, he just rambles and Cole will just cut him off mid sentence and it's like, don't even bother finishing JBL because nobody was listening anyway

JBL was commentary gold back when he first started in the booth on Smackdown. Ever since he came back (after Lawler's heart attack) he has been a huge net negative. He is almost as bad as Lawler and Cole. Sometimes he's worse.

JBL sucks on commentary.
He references things from 40 - 60 years ago, that the kids who watch WWE wouldn't understand. Hell, I don't even understand half of his references and I am in my mid 30s.

Eh, it doesn't really bother me because it was kind of their thing.
He has many worse flaws than referencing Dudleyville.
"Here's your top ten highlight, Coach!" Anyone?

I kinda got the feeling that he was only liked because he would mention historical wrestling facts. From the very small amount of WWE programming I've seen recently, it seems that someone put a stop to that. For what it's worth, I always thought he was terrible. Is unbelievable how bad their commentary is. I can't understand how Michael Cole is still employed. I wish they would fire everyone except Mauro, make him their main guy, and find some some talent. Get some more former MMA commentators, hell get some voice actors who are fans. I don't care, but there has to be three guys out there who like WWE but don't suck at talking.

More so this week when they were about to cut to adverts during The Dudleyz entrance and he just randomly shouts "DUDLEYVILLE". Like what?

I cant stand JBL. I hope if he does go into the Hall of Fame that'd be a "nice" way to wrap him up and send him off, just put him in the "wrestle-crap" wing.

While Lawler receives an instant press of my mute button, it also extends to JBL and Cole.
I still can't wrap my head around 'Michael' apparently having the letter 'G' in it.

JBL, Cole and Lawler are all great commentators. The problem is that they're being told what to say by people who don't know what they're doing. It's the exact same reason why no one can cut a promo to save their lives now. It's inauthentic, and it shows in the product.

It's pretty clear to me that it doesn't matter who is commentating, they will be fed horrible lines and commentary to say. It's clear that there was much more freedom for the commentators until about 2010, probably when the company went fully PG in an attempt to make sure there aren't any accidentally slip ups that could be seen as non-pg. Look at JBL and Coles commentary on Smackdown in 07 compared to now, so much better.

JBL is only doing his job and you need to realise him and the rest of the announcers are being fed lines by Vince so he's the one you really need to blame.
Also JBL acknowledges the past were Cole has rewrote history a few times.

I think JBL is awesome. Easily my favorite commentator.

If the main roster commentators could actually call the match instead of talking about what they did backstage earlier, he could be ok. NXT commentators call the match, have a brief moment talking about something else then go back to the match. Not telling everyone the New Day reminds them of the 1945 Detroit Tigers or something like that. Are we seriously meant to believe JBL watches old sporting events?

He's the reason I watch Raw on mute.
