Let's rewind back to Survivor Series where it was Ambrose vs Reigns for the title. During the match, out come HHH & Stephanie to watch ringside, refs down HHH gets up picks up a sledgehammer and gets in the ring, Ambrose & Reigns are ready to attack him as the "brothers" that they are, then Reigns superman punches Ambrose, gets the sledgehammer beats him up with it, refs up Reigns pins 1, 2 ,3. New Champ, new heel allegiance, Reigns joins the Authority and screws over Ambrose. Next night on RAW Ambrose wants revenge so the "lunatic" actually comes out of him, he mauls HHH while Reigns & Steph retreat to the back, by the end of the show Steph tells Ambrose that he's suspended indefinitely for his actions. With this, they actually keep him off TV until the Rumble, not the usual 1-2 weeks max after someone has been "fired", while Ambrose is gone have Reigns feud with someone like Dolph or Jericho. Have Ambrose rant tweet over the 2 month period in which he is "suspended" and "shoot" on the company and blur the lines between a real shoot or kayfabe. Book him on shows like Jimmy Fallon where he can build up the feud and talk about how he will be back to tear up the Authority and the guy he thought was his "brother", etc. Really sell this and put over Reigns as a heel and Ambrose as a babyface. Come Rumble, Ambrose returns by taking out a superstar during their entrance and wins the Rumble. Setting up a major feud, Ambrose tries to make the Authorities life hell, very Stone Cold vs Corporation style feud. Have Ambrose go over at Mania, and eventually this would lead Reigns to have a proper babyface run where he would be cheered, etc by HHH turning his back on Reigns.

I really think a heel Reigns vs face Ambrose was the most compelling and realistic match for the WM main event this year. The pieces are all there, they just needed to be lined up right.

We got AJ Styles, and now Nakamura. I wouldn't change a damn thing. Why wouldn't we have gotten them regardless? I like it. I think anti-hero Ambrose has legs. I still think it has legs. Reigns as a heel is going to be so much better than all the dumb sh*t he's done over the past two years. It's going to finally happen and people are going to realize how much better Reigns can be. All that guy need to do is be himself. I'd also like to mention that having Reigns heel allows them to bring back Rollins as the top babyface in the company. Your scenario puts all 3 members of the Shield on level footing at the top of the card as well. Can't turn back the clock though. If we could do that, there are a ton of things we could fix. Plus, I'd be extremely wealthy as well  |

Ambrose on top is great. He is probably the most consistently over guy in the company and would be a great champion.

So Roman Reigns just takes on the Seth Rollins role in the Authority, and Dean Ambrose does a watered-down version of the 2011 CM Punk act that drew less than Mark Henry's fake retirement in the first place. No thanks. I don't care to see any more "HAHA I'M AN EVIL CHAMPION NOW AND FRIENDS WITH TRIPLE H" heel turns in the near future. Orton sucked at it, Rollins sucked at it (at least after he won the title). I don't particularly trust any of the roster to not suck at it, other than Cena.

I think it sucks that the go to story line is a heel champion with the evil bosses. Over and over...it's gotta be time for the board of directors to install a face GM at some point.
Ambrose should probably just turn on Reigns for never really being there to help him out, and he'd still be a bigger face than Roman.

Ambrose could be the face of the company. He's the most over guy on the roster and he completely stands out from everyone else. He's like an anti hero character similar to Austin who isn't there to please fans.
