The Wrestlemania name can draw 60,000 by itself. Its whats on the card that draws the rest of the fans and Reigns/HHH, Stroman/Undertaker and Wyatt/Lesnar will not be getting the other 40,000 to sell out Cowboy Stadium. The 'Mania name will get the 60,000 and the Dallas stadium allure draws the other 40,000.

WrestleMania will only draw the wrestling fans. That isn't going to be anywhere near 100K. It's the appearances, celebrities, music, gimmicks and 'names' that get the casual fans to tune in.
And that has got to be something VERY special to the casual fan to buy it on PPV, because they're not going to have the network to watch it on and possibly not realise it's cheaper doing it that way.

They're not going to sell anywhere near 100,000 tickets. The allure of AT&T Stadium has mostly worn off at this point. From a stadium perspective, last year's event at Levi's was for more intriguing, because it was the first time they'd ever held a really major event. The stadium was still brand new.
And they had to dump thousands of tickets in the Santa Clara area last year for pennies on the dollar, or entirely free. They couldn't even sell that place out with a roster that wasn't tremendously ravaged by injuries.
They're going to be comping thousands of seats to get even remotely close to the 100,000 number. And chances are, whatever they tell you the attendance is is going to be dramatically inflated.

I think that is absolutely the way he's looking at it. There's no doubt that the name "Wrestlemania" itself will sell tickets and merchandise and generate media attention and all that. The fact of the matter is that if this rumored card was listed for any other PPV they'd be lucky to sell out a small arena, much less a gigantic outdoor stadium like AT&T. But I do think that eventually people stop being enthralled by it being Wrestlemania and simply look at it for what it is. Wrestling isn't popular enough anymore where Wrestlemania is thought of the same way it was even five to ten years ago. And the fact of the matter is that Vince definitely has to be concerned with that fact based on the names he's been trying to get to be there. He wouldn't have made two offers to Batista or paid what I imagine to be an insane amount of money to get The Rock and the production company to postpone filming a huge movie for a day so that The Rock could be there. I think as it gets closer to Wrestlemania he's getting more and more worried based on the fact that, just like last year at this time, nobody is buying into his golden boy Roman Reigns as the next huge star of the company. But he's already shown that he has no problem going down in flames and taking everybody with him rather than admit to the fact that things are an absolute disaster right now.

I think WWE bit off a bit more than it can chew. WWE just doesnt have the roster right now to sell 100k tickets.
I'm sorry, A near 47 year old part timer vs a flopped "Austin/Cena" megapushed Roman Reigns as a headliner isnt going to sell tickets. Sure they'll sell 70k on the name alone but they just dont have the tools and the names to make that extra big push to a sell out.

Other than the weather, I dont see any difference between Cowboy Stadium and other NFL stadiums like Fedex Field, Heinz Field, Arrowhead Stadium, Soldier Field, Viking Stadium, etc

Most people know that. Its one of those "You've made it" stadiums.

They tend to build for this one night without having the whole rest of the year's implications and ramifications in mind when doing so. They've had no choice really but to have Wrestlemania 'sell itself' this year now, they're just trying to put a half acceptable card together to make sure they've at least got themselves a show. The way they look at it, Cowboys Stadium, Triple H as Champion, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker and Roman Reigns chasing the Title is enough to advertise and sell. The reality behind it all is very much different though.

Give Kurt Angle, The Rock, and Batista a blank check, and clear Bryan and take Hogan out of timeout. That could make it much more special.

I have read that Cesaro is close, but he won't be working a program with Taker, Lesnar or with anyone of importance on this show. It's just disheartening. Undertaker? Important? Wrestlemania? 2016? HA! Undertaker? Legend? Still gets massive pops? Fans still chant his name? More WrestleMania matches than anyone? Can still put on entertaining matches? Still more over than 95% of the roster? HA!

This is what happens when you feed your entire roster to Cena for 10 years and to Reigns for 2 years, you have nothing left to build around.
Take a look at the available main eventers: Reigns, HHH, Lesnar, Ambrose, and Taker....... pretty pathetic. Everyone else is floundering in the midcard.
Im not one to be generally angry with WWE, but this is what happens when you ruin pushes and do not let guys develop on their own.

I like Scott Hall's idea for the Main Event. HHH w/HBK in his corner vs. Reigns w/Rock in his corner. & also have Daniel Bryan as special guest referee...

My dad and I were considering going to WM this year but when we saw Vince was going through with the Roman mega-push crap we passed. The injuries hurt them but it's not the main reason why they won't sell 100k tickets. The crappy booking is. Dean Ambrose is FAR more over than Roman yet Roman is going to main event against a guy 10-years past his prime and who wrestles once a year. Meanwhile, Dean will be lost in the midcard once again because he doesn't have the big pecs Vince is crazy for. And this is just the issues with the main event.

I don't think they're 100% relying on it. They had a ton of injuries hit right before a Mania that they shot big for. The problem is, the company has been ABYSMAL at creating new stars. When something like this happens, they are left with nobody credible.
Reigns will go over Triple H. It'll be fine but won't scream Mania to me. Bray vs. Brock? If that happens, why should I care? Bray is a complete loser against anyone of name value. Whatever the League of Nations does will be worthless because they're been booked like a worthless stable. Ambrose and Owens will be involved in something fun, but I could see Owens doing the job to Taker. We may get a great women's match though I could see them deciding against Sasha/Becky/Charlotte and going with throwing a bunch of divas in a battle royal or something.
